All you can ask for in a fan movie

This is "Revenge of the Mask 2", an American English-language live action short film, that debuted in December 2019, so this is still a relatively recent release and the director here is Lance Kawas. It runs for minimally over 40 minutes and, as you can see from the title, this is a sequel to another film starring this fairly famous character (or item). This means you can basically watch them both in an hour and fifteen minutes or so, which may not be the worst idea. I personally did not see the first film, but just this one here because it was recommended to me and actually, it makes me a bit curious about the first because it was good. Much better than many other fan-made movies I have come across and I have come across many, so it means something. Kawas' talent has become known apparently too because we even have one relatively famous actor on board here and that would be Dean Cain. I mean he was alright. He did not make the movie, but he definitely wasn't as bad as the other reviewer says. And I had to look twice to see that at the very end the guy we see is just channeling Jeff Bridges from True Grit and it is not actually him, in the epilogue I mean. Everything else before that was alright too. This includes the story, of course the Mask 2 and the impact it and also the special effects coming with it. I think most people know this one still from the Jim Carrey movie, but that one is old, so I am not surprised that new filmmakers elaborate on the subject. I am pretty certain that we will get a new Hollywood production soon too again. Until then, you can certainly check out this project here, it is much better than just filler. If I rated fan films, I'd even give it 4 stars out of 5, but by general standards I am going with 3, which isn't shabby either. The ending could imply that there will be another sequel. We'll see about that. I gguess I would watch because I also liked the crime / investigation parts here that weren't worse than what many TV police dramas have to offer these days. And this song reminded me of "Bad Day". Thanks for that. "Blue" I still remembered, not sure if I should be grateful for that. Anyway, this project here gets a thumbs-up from me. Go check it out.
