In the patrol scene, the troops are shown in a very relaxed attitude, with their rifles hanging from their shoulders as if they were on parade, which is completely unacceptable for a combat situation. The Indian Army is a highly professional force which has undergone a lot of fighting.
During the battle scenes, the Indian infantry is shown to be using the AK-74 rifle. However, although the AK-47 and AK-56 rifles are occasionally (if rarely) utilized by certain units, the Indian military has never used the AK-74. India's standard service rifle during the Kargil War was the indigenous made INSAS rifle.
Although the AK-74 is well known for its battlefield reliability, there were numerous reports that the INSAS could not cope well with the harsh conditions of the Kargil area.
It is shown in the movie that army officer 's were discriminating against Gunjan, but in reality there is no such discrimination in army towards lady officer .All are treated equally and with respect.
