When a screeching maid (voiced by Janet Waldo) sees Chan enter a room and then the valuables turn up missing, she points out Chan and also notes that his two eldest sons, Henry and Stanley, likewise saw their mysterious father figure leave the same room.
Nevermind that the other Chan children, as well as anyone else on the beach, could verify that Chan was in fact on the beach as well, Chan volunteers to go with the police to sort it out.
"Don't you take my pop!" Scooter shrieks, fists waving.
"We'll have the heap around the side, pop," Flip says. "Make a break and lose the flatfoot." "We had better leave, officer, before this unruly mob takes action," Chan says to the officer.
Undeniably, Flip gets the best lines in this cartoon.
The mystery is solved and rather forgettably.

In rewatching my episodes of Amazing Chan, which I recorded from Cartoon Network about six or seven years ago now, I can't help but notice a strange chopping to the stories and plot.
I first checked purchased DVD shows, like Lancelot Link and Mighty Isis, to see if CN edited these shows considerably, but the length isn't that much different, and why not simply edit out the very unpopular songs? Likewise, I have Funky Phantom and Josie recorded from this same time as well, and they don't appear to be edited in such a broken manner.
Characters, mainly the kids, just suddenly appear together, or we are suddenly given these strange masked men for no reason, than to just have the kids run like Scooby Doo gang I guess.
One of only three episodes (Captain Kidd's Doubloons and Eye of the Idol are the other two) to not have a song.
