You imagine that it wasn’t discussed if a fourth Bad Boys film might happen. Because 2020’s long-awaited threequel ended up arriving with the title Bad Boys For Life – a name that would have been perfect for a fourth instalment in the series. But never mind – here we are, and given that For Life was a huge hit (earning over $400 million off a $90 million budget) it makes sense that Hollywood has pivoted right into another film. This one arrives with the title Bad Boys: Ride Or Die – and once again sees Will Smith and Martin Lawrence return as cops Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett, shooting their way through all kinds of antics. This time, their boss, played by Joe Pantoliano, is framed for nefarious antics – sending Mike and Marcus on the run by association. Check out the trailer:

50 Cent made as big of a splash in the television industry as he did with music thanks to his Power franchise. But the television series he had planned after Power might surprise some fans.
50 Cent had his sights set on making his own superhero show 50 Cent | Axelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic
50 Cent spent years planning to enter the space of television before finally making his move with Power. The hip-hop mogul teamed with producer Courtney Kemp to bring the series to life, which drew inspiration from his own background. His networking with a well-known Hollywood producer also helped put the wheels in motion for the show.
Power grew to be the Starz network’s flagship show, spawning an entire cinematic universe in its own right. But after the success of Power, 50 Cent considered taking over the world of superheroes as well. According to Entertainment Weekly, he’d even given his new show a title.

Actor Erik Jensen, who’s known for roles on “The Walking Dead” and “Mr. Robot,” revealed in a recent GoFundMe page that he is battling Stage 4 cancer. The page, started Oct. 18 by Jessica Blank, asks for help with his medical bills.
“After miraculously surviving a brain aneurysm just a year and a half ago, our beloved Erik Jensen was just diagnosed with Stage IV colorectal cancer,” the fundraiser by Blank reads.
Blank wrote,”Erik and his family are in for the fight of their lives, and they need your support,” adding that the diagnosis is not necessarily “a death sentence.”
The cancer has reportedly metastasized to the actor’s liver, but “his doctors have a shot at shrinking the tumors enough to do two very major surgeries and get them all out,” according to Blank. So far, more than $97,000 has been raised towards a goal of $300,000.

I grew up going to federal prisons. From the ages of 4 to 14, I visited my dad twice a year at correctional institutions all over the Midwest — Leavenworth, Terre Haute, Oxford and Sandstone.
People sometimes ask me what it was like visiting prison. I usually start off by saying what it wasn’t like: There wasn’t a glass partition to speak through, or a phone, or a lot of sad faces. What there was, mostly: a big, surprisingly lively room filled with women and children. Playing cards, or with Barbies, or Parcheesi with men in shiny shoes and pressed prison uniforms, eating vending machine food, joking, laughing. Because the visiting room was an experience first and foremost of family. Families spending time together. Families connecting.
I’ve never seen that on television.

From executive producers Barbie Kligman, Hank Steinberg, and Erwin Stoff comes Doc, a “heroic” new story based on Italy’s Doc — Nelle tue mani (“in your hands”). The Italian series featured The White Lotus Season 2 stars Simona Tabasco and Beatrice Grannò and debuted in 2020. It follows Dr. Andrea Fanti, who has to adjust to a world of strangers after losing 12 years of memories as the result of a brain injury. Fox has given Doc a straight-to-series order. Fox has handed out its first series pickup for a new live-action show for the 2023-24 season.
The broadcast network has given a straight-to-series order to Doc, a medical drama based on an Italian format. The show centers on the Dr. Amy Elias — chief of internal and family medicine at a Minneapolis hospital, who’s also recovering from a brain injury that has wiped out the last eight years of her memory.
Sony Pictures Television and Fox Entertainment are producing the series, which comes from writer and showrunner Barbie Kligman (Magnum P.I., Private Practice) and fellow executive producers Hank Steinberg and Erwin Stoff.
“This moving and heroic medical drama is the very definition of storytelling excellence and what audiences have come to expect from Fox,” said Michael Thorn, president scripted programming at Fox Entertainment. “Doc explores the raw emotion, redemption and resilience of the human spirit in ways we rarely see,...

"Power Book II: Ghost" is known for throwing viewers a curveball (or several) now and then, and season three, which premiered on March 17, is no exception. So far, new characters have been introduced, while one has reappeared after being seemingly killed off. But viewers are saddened to see that one familiar face hasn't returned for the new season.
Season two of the hit Starz drama introduced defense attorney Davis MacLean's (Method Man) brother, Theo Rollins, who's in prison for taking the fall for a manslaughter charge for the crooked lawyer. That season, Theo was played by Redman, the rap icon and well-known Method Man collaborator.

AMC is no longer moving forward with a second season of “Soulmates,” TheWrap has learned.
The sci-fi anthology series, which was created by Will Bridges (“Black Mirror”) and Brett Goldstein (“Ted Lasso”) and based on their short film “For Life,” was previously renewed for a second season in August 2020.
“We were immediately drawn to the unique premise of Soulmates as it explores love and relationships from several touchpoints in a way that naturally feeds the zeitgeist, prompting conversations around human connection, relationships and happiness,” Dan McDermott, president of original programming for AMC Networks’ Entertainment Group and co-president of AMC Studios, said at the time of the renewal. “These are stories and themes that resonate and feel almost timely given today’s climate in which so many of us feel disconnected or are coping with shifting relationship dynamics. We’re thrilled to continue our relationship with Will and Brett who never...

Italian medical drama series Doc – Nelle Tue Mani is getting a U.S. remake.
A U.S. version of the series, which comes from Italian producer Lux Vide, the company behind Aidan Turner series Leonardo, is in the works at Fox.
Michael Thorn, President of Scripted Programming at Fox, told Deadline that the network has a “couple of pieces of material that are being worked on as we speak”.
The move further into medical development comes as the future of long-running series The Resident hangs in the balance. The show just ended its sixth season but Thorn said that he hasn’t made a decision yet as to whether this will be its final season.
The Italian series follows a doctor who suffers a major head injury that wipes 12 years from his memory. It was the most-watched Italian series in the last 13 years with its run on public broadcaster Rai.

Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson has closed a non-exclusive broadcast direct deal with Fox Entertainment, the network announced Tuesday.
Under the deal, the Emmy and Grammy Award-winning producer, director, actor and rapper will develop scripted dramas, live-action comedies and animated series through his production company G-Unit Film & Television, Fox Entertainment president of Scripted Programming Michael Thorn said.
After rising to hip-hop royalty status, Jackson delved into filmed entertainment by launching G-Unit Film & Television in 2005, which produced Starz’s “Power,” in which Jackson served as a co-star, executive producer and director. Before Adil & Bilall, aka Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, found themselves at the heart of the Batgirl cancellation storm on board too.
The fourth Bad Boys movie (‘Bad Boys 4 Life’?) is officially in pre-production at Sony, with Adil & Bilall working from a script by Chris Bremner – who also wrote For Life and last year’s The Man From Toronto. Smith shared a (warning: it's pretty loud) video on his Instagram in which he reunites with Lawrence to confirm their joint return:
It’s happening, then – more Bad Boys, with Smith admitting that they probably shouldn’t have splurged the Bad Boys For Life title on the third movie. ‘Bad Boys 4-Ever’, maybe? We’ll keep brainstorming while they get ready to roll cameras.
