I don't understand why the IMDb rating is so average to low for this fantastic show. The entire cast is superb including the guest stars and seldom seen characters. The stories are well written and they are exciting and touching, too. I like this show as well as the original 911 but I prefer this one slightly because of the fantastic chemistry between the characters. If you like Chicago Fire or 911, give this show a chance. I think you will be very pleasantly surprised!

Well i have to disagree with most of the reviews, i loved it and found it refreshing! You people have to forget politics and just watch it carefully. It aproaches a lot of the tabus thas society still has. The focus on PTSD, cancer and the whole views on sexual and cultural of nowadays is awsome. Disregard all comments and see it at least once ;)

Rob Lowe, who doesn't like him?! And his great hair, LOL! He is classic in this show. I am so glad we got a season 2. I hope we get more seasons too. I know, it's sometimes very cheesy and sometimes dumb, but it's fun! Get's your mind off things and make you feel good, can't ask for more than that. A lifesaver in this pandemic we are having. I look forward to every episode, making a sandwich and just chill out watching, having fun. Check it out!

More 9-1-1 style stories, but also much weaker than the original show. Rob Lowe plays a typical Rob Lowe character. He is very picky about his looks abd has a beauty regiment. The diverse cast is written to be that way. You got a gay son, large black man, Muslim woman, and hispanic guy. The team was assembled to be diverse because of the city's past of good old boy network.
The shows stories are not quite as strong as the original, but decent enough. Acting is fine except for Liv Tyler. She is awful! Every line is said with the same inflection and delivery. She is easily the worst part of this series.
I'm willing to keep watching this for the time being, but if it gets canned after the first season i won't miss it. Better shows have only lasted one season and i miss them more than I will ever miss this.

Love this show, yeah it's not believable and it's kind of a joke. But it has a storyline. It's not a comparison to the other one, but normally the OG is the best anyway. I love the cast. It's TV people don't be so critical and sit back and enjoy. You voted for Trump and you think this is a joke. Haha. I'm glad I'm Canadian.
I gave it 20 minutes.

My Packers lost, oh well, maybe this new show with the ever handsome Rob Lowe will cheer me up. Wrong! The opening scene was pathetically comical, I am not a spoiler type, so enough said. None the less I persevered. Perhaps it will get better. Well 20 minutes in, I could not deal with the silliness anymore. Merely an insult to intelligence.

Yes, I am a schmaltzy 74 year old male! This episode was perfect in so many ways. I judge acting by believability .... the entire cast was fully believable! Raw emotions that conveyed to viewers. Awesome special effects. Great writing and story lines!
One personal comment: I love the view of mankind portrayed in both 9 1 1 series. All flavors of people working and living together without mindless bigotry. I truly wish the makers of 9 1 1 could wrap the planet in their script concept, but I fear that it wouldn't help because humanity is too flawed!

I feel like I have to write a review of 9-1-1: Lonestar because I've been a HUGE fan of the original 9-1-1 since the beginning. I don't think that Lonestar is complete garbage like some users are saying. But with it being a spin-off, I find that I can't help but compare it to the original. Lonestar just doesn't have the same feel and draw like the original. It didn't start off with a bang and suck you in like the original 9-1-1 did. The characters feel stiff and out of place, and don't have the same chemistry as the original 9-1-1 characters. Also, it is very blatantly PC, and I'm getting tired of that being shoved down our throats on TV shows.
I'll continue watching a couple more episodes to see if it gets better, but so far, it pales in comparison to the original.

So let's see, 1st episode: Gay men, Muslim woman, Trans man, Interracial couple, illegal immigrants scared of the police and can't afford insurance, an opioid situation, a suicide scare, I mean, did they leave anyone out or are the #MeToo folks and a terrible President in the future episodes?? It's really enough to make you want to turn the show OFF! Jesus Christ, calm down with the political correctness Hollywood. This was real hard to watch because they took the joy right the F--- out of it........

I started to watch it with doints for the low score as I am fan of original 911. However I am really enjoying it. These new characters with so much diversity ara amazing. I think poeple should give it a chance because it is a really good show.

I am NOT conservative. Those who say folks dislike the show because of the gay, trans, etc thing are so wrong. There was no attempt on the part of the writer to build the firehouse slower than "in your face". I don't mind the themes but the timing and writing are terrible. I had no time to get to know characters one by one. Too rushed makes it look preachy

Disappointed. I was expecting much better with the likes of Rob Lowe and Liv Tyler. I was hoping for a good entertaining drama, and not pushing this superficial diversity agenda. It came across as silly and amateurish.
Maybe it will get better.

I hate how this show( and other ones similar) have turned out. It used to be all about the cases and the accidents and helping people. And now it' s all about the personal problems of the characters. I don't want to watch that. I want the cases and the drama, the resquing and the investigating. Iwant to learn stuff and be preparred actualy lor real situations. I don't think i am going to watch this show anymore. It is really dissapointing because i loved the actors and the situations. I don't know if it's because of the budget, i realize that there are costs involved in suvh a show. But cancel it. Not turn it in something that it is not.🤕

I've been watching this show since it started. I like the characters a lot! However, this 2022/2023 season has turned it into a soap opera. I t has so much don-911 drama in it now it almost unrecognizable.
Now, it's only about a gay wedding, a kid that may not walk again, the captains brother who has a rare disease, a possible marriage, and a gay couple adopting children.
Really? What about any of that has do to with emergencies? This is the typical format for a soap opera, right?
Unless this next season comes out immediately in a better format (better writing) and a lot less personal drama, I'll be dropping the show.

Watched the first few episodes and wow!!!
I'm not Anti LGBT by any means but I hate the fact that the SJW writer staff have to force it in the story several times.
We understand one character is gay but why tell us several times in an episode and the trans guy, why tell everyone several times again. Then the Muslim girl they have her pray in the middle of the firehouse. (Yes we've seen Bobby at church) but bang in the middle of a fire truck spot.
Then rob Lowe's character has cancer, but why build a whole montage of skin care just to tell the trans guy he's still a man.
I really expected this to be good.
The viewers don't mind these characters, but we don't need to be told several times that that's what they are, we can kinda see.
It's like Supergirl where they had to constantly tell the audience that characters were black or gay etc.
Knock it off and focus on the story of fighting fires/rescues.

There is a such thing as trying too hard. According to this show "We are going to be woke and show you how to do diversity but it doesn't matter about southern redneck stereotypes" at least according to the bull crap they are putting on the air. Who ever wrote this crap should be ashamed. I'm sad Rob Low signed on for this.
