Alienz is a wonderfully bizarre and charming short film from director Aris Koulaidis, proving that you don't need a Hollywood budget to have a blast with science fiction. Clocking in at just a few minutes, this low-budget gem leans fully into its absurd premise-aliens arrive, and everything goes hilariously off the rails.
Koulaidis brings a unique indie flair to the genre, combining campy effects, lo-fi visuals, and a winking sense of humor that makes the whole thing feel like a passion project made with love (and maybe some tinfoil and fishing wire). The performances are over-the-top in the best way, and the chaotic energy is totally infectious.
If you grew up loving homemade alien movies or just want to see what one creative mind can do with a camera, a couple of friends, and a wild idea-Alienz is for you.
