This is not a heist movie, this is a disaster
devecseri-tamas26 August 2020
The first minutes were okay when we saw the children stealing the drawing, but watching some 40years old losers still crying over their miserable lives and messing up a funeral is not funny. The whole concept of placing the painting in the auction and how the characters deliver it is absurd. Most of the scenes don't make any sense. The actors are terrible, the story is simple without any excitement or suspense and the jokes are written by 6year olds and we saw it a billion time. This movie would have been better if the characters had been younger and this stupidity would make a bigger sense. I am sad if this the post Andy Vajna era.

Better watch again any movie than this for the first time

It is one of the worst movies I have ever seen. Very boring with terrible jokes and full with poor actors. I am very sorry to say but this movie should not exist at all.

Short summary: I had to get out of the cinema halfway through the movie, it was so bad.

one of the worst cringefest
nemesdani30 May 2021
This absolute piece of trash tries to sell you a main protagonist, who in his childhood always played indian, so now in his adulthood still always wears feathers in his ears, and all his role consist only of inarticulate roars. The female lead chews bubblegum, wears a cap with bright-colorful hair, even though she is over 30 years old, because she is, you get it, cool, lol.

And the best part is that the moral of the story would be that the successful, renowned, rich engineer dude should be cool like these loser, idiot friends of his.

Nothing makes sense in this "film", the scenes are hardly connecting. Only the jokes were more miserable than the characters. My second hand embarrasment had a second hand embarrasment by the 30 minute mark. Total waste of time.

Boring

This movie was a waste of my time. The story was confusing and had a lot of bloopers (for example when the whole city's electricity was turned off but in the next scene power was back). Worst Hungarian movie that I've seen.

Not worth your time

This was my worst hungarian movie that I have ever seen. I wouldn't recommend this movie because the actors' play was so weak, the jokes were strained and cringe, the act was untraceable. I wasted two hours from my life.

A charming reverse heist
blacklivematters11 August 2020
It was quite refreshing to see a new takle on the heist genre with this little gem. In most heist movies they try to bust a bank or a casino, while in this one it's the opposite, they steal a painting into an auction. How come nobody had this idea before? Superb cinematography, Hollywood-style directing, really professionally done soundtrack.

A funny movie

A refreshing movie for me as a foreign student. I rarely do much in my free time, so when this came out especially now, during the COVID, I went to see with English subtitles. The plot was pretty surprising. It's a Hollywood looking East European film. The characters are lovely, and it was pretty funny. I'd recommend it although you need to like this type of humour.

It's an OK film with some really funny moments

It's an OK film with some really funny moments. It doesn't take itself seriously, reminded me of Taika Waititi's humor to be honest. Sometimes good, sometimes, well, it's about taste. The cinematography is really good, certainly looks much better than the budget would suggest.

Refreshing, funny, ultimately moving
mkozakijevic19 July 2022
For me this movie was totally worth watching, even with subtitles. Maybe I was not expecting too much initially, just a light comedy, but the humour and pace drew me in and kept me watching, and ultimately the portrayal of the father - son relationship drew a few tears at the end and left me deep in thought. The soundtrack is good and I loved the shots of Budapest.

This is actually a Stephen Chow movie
jessepinkman-121306 May 2021
It's obvious that this movie is influenced by Stephen Chow, Jackie Chan ad the Hangover movies big time. If you liked Shaolin Soccer and Police Story, or the Host, God of the Gamblers 2 with Little Trumpet then this is a movie for you :)
