Paradise Lost

After the pilot, shows hit the plot for the second story. Not here as it continues very much in the vein of the pilot.

Jamie is still deciding what to do with her new bionic powers and whether she should work for the Berkut Group.

While Jamie vacillates, she still works at the bar, even having sex with a stranger. All the while the Berkut Group watches.

Then there is Jamie's brat of a sister Becca. She nearly gets expelled from school and dislikes her big sister.

Eventually Jamie decides to assist by going to a small Oregon town. A mysterious outbreak wiped out all the residents and it could be terrorist related.

The main focus should had been the central plot, but it wanted to rehash elements of the pilot instead.

Paradise lost ... still looking for hope

This episode continues in the same manner the pilot; maybe a little more badly done than the pilot (but the pilot is made to impress,no?). Definitely it still is in the same style: fast paced from times to times (many times too fast), simple and full of clichés in the critical parts. Also, at this point the show lacks complexity: it's just plain old stuffy! Although there still remains hope: the diversity of the conflicts between characters and the vastity of the plots (altough still linear). As for the acting: poor to medium, with one exception - Miguel Ferrer who is well-fitted in his character. Anyway I'm still waiting to see what happens in the next episode!

The television in the house that Jaime enters in the town of Paradise is showing footage from Galáctica, estrella de combate (2004). David Eick serves as executive producer of both shows. Katee Sackhoff and Aaron Douglas are also both cast members of 'Battlestar Galactica'.
