Unfortunate

This episode is what happens when real life gets in the way. After a great second season, the premier is a tough watch.

A beautiful wedding and a shocking funeral

Warning: Spoilers
This was an incredible season opener. Lots of changes for the kids. I love seeing them all grow up. The vows that Dre said to Kevin and Keisha were just perfect. Yes I will miss Brandon, but there are so many compelling characters, carried out by very talented actors. They will make up for his absence in no time. I'm very excited for this season.

How can you write off the best actor in the whole series and one the main main character. The destroyed one of my fav Series, nothing is credible now.

Idiotic..missing an entire storyline between seasons

Boy they really lost me as a viewer on this..how can the producers kill off a character before developing the most interesting part of his story? A ludicrous transition from last season to this one. I feel irritated by the shock of a completely missing storyline. I thought I accidentally skipped a bunch of episodes when I started watching it. The only explanation would be that the actor playing the lead must have left the show, leaving them with no choice- because I can't imagine this was an intentional scripting decision. Don't know if I will continue watching it.Too bad, it was an otherwise compelling show for the first two seasons.

A conundrum of sorts
rmasa9 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Jason Mitchell was fired from the show because of inappropriate behavior on set as reported by his co-star Tiffany Boone, who also left the show on her own accord. It feels as if the writers opted for an easy end to Brandon's character instead of taking the time to think through his story arc, which could have gone so many different ways. The result is disjointed and jarring. I also feel the show has lessened its edge in favor of being more light hearted. I'm a native Chicagoan and life, especially on the south and west sides can be brutal. I don't get a sense of that in the show anymore. There needs to be a balance to keep it real.

Firing that man was arbitrary to this day. If he had really done what yall claimed he did , yall would've had some charges for him. Yall really killed off the show after the 2nd season it's dreadful now.
