Moretii has Abby, to whom he explains ER developed from wartime field hospitals, spend all day in the waiting room, unable to resist taking patients to ER. She notably takes shot-wounded Latino working poor Carlos Vega, who fears his bullet be linked to a shop hold-up, to Dubenko, who helps cover until the police home search indicates guilt.
