- Pregnant Woman: [to Fin] Has the doctor told you if it's a boy or a girl?
- Odafin 'Fin' Tutuola: Excuse me?
- Pregnant Woman: It's so hard for gay couples to adopt. A surrogate's really your only option. I don't get why they think its better to leave kids in the system than send them to a gay home. You two look like a nice couple to me.
- [Lake looks at Fin and grins as he pats Fin's right knee]

- Katie Nicholson: [quoting her mother on the night of her attack] "I want a real baby, grow up normal!"
- Olivia Benson: [to Stabler] How's Kathy?

- Elliot Stabler: Yeah, well, they cut a deal with you. Like any common thief, you testify, you don't go to prison.
- Ben Nicholson: I'd already turned the guy in. I just took his money and didn't tell the Feds.
- A.D.A. Casey Novak: [questioning Katie on the witness stand during the trial for Alex Parvin:] Katie, did you hear the man who was in the bedroom with your mother say anything besides, 'Come here, baby, you smell good'?
- Katie Nicholson: Yes.
- A.D.A. Casey Novak: What did he say?
- Judge Lena Petrovsky: [after Katie begins to imitate sexual moans and groans] That's enough, Katie.
- A.D.A. Casey Novak: Katie, you pointed out Alex Parvin as the one who argued with, and hit, your mother. Is that right?
- Katie Nicholson: Yes. He used the wrong word. But, my dad said it's really a bad word for girls.
- A.D.A. Casey Novak: How could you tell the difference between Alex's voice and his father's?
- Katie Nicholson: Mr. Parvin is even-tempo, large pitch, deep timbre. Alex is fast-tempo, high pitch, medium timbre. I study music. My teacher says singing and talking are alike. I know what I heard.

- Katie Nicholson: [Katie places her hands over her ears and yells] It was too loud! So I covered my ears!
- Katie Nicholson: [Kate takes her hands away from her ears and speaks softly] I hid under my bed. Then it was quiet. I heard footsteps. I went to find Mom. - Katie Nicholson: It was Dad. They were fighting. They always fight.
- Odafin 'Fin' Tutuola: What happened next?
- Katie Nicholson: Mom said,

- [Katie then returns to her normal voice]

- [pops her hands together like the sound of a punch]

- Odafin 'Fin' Tutuola: [to Katie's dad, Ben] You slapped her?
- [Ben doesn't answer]
- Odafin 'Fin' Tutuola: [to Katie] Is that all?
- Katie Nicholson: [speaking low, imitating a man's voice] 'Come here, baby. You smell good.'
- A.D.A. Casey Novak: Was that your father's voice?
- Katie Nicholson: My dad wasn't home, or the man wouldn't be in their bedroom.
- Elliot Stabler: Has the man been in the house before?
- [Katie nods her head, 'Yes']
- Elliot Stabler: Did you see him?
- Katie Nicholson: I heard him. I always do.
- [Speaking low imitating a man's voice again]
- Katie Nicholson: 'Come here, baby. You smell good.'
- Elliot Stabler: Would you recognize that voice if you heard it again?
- Katie Nicholson: I have perfect pitch. I'm supposed to be asleep, but I told Dad about him and he told me not to worry.
- [Imitating a man's voice again]
