Slow episode, interesting last 5 minutes
braedynh18 October 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Another very slow episode until the last 5 minutes. It was probably better than last episode but I'm still not invested in the characters but can see potential in Felix, Hope and Elton. The other characters are very annoying and unlikeable but the actress who plays Huck cannot act! She is terrible

The final minutes was the only part really worth watching. We saw a soldier of the CRM struggling with what they did to the community before Elizabeth showed him the technology and resources that they have to remind him of why they do what they do. A good ending that's got me interested in the next episode

Wasn't the worst thing I've seen. Better than the last 2 episodes. But honestly, idc. It's hard to care for these characters.

Just more dictators...
ramblingvagabond19 October 2020
Why are all these TWC shows about evil dictators? Why not have a zombie show about...oh, I don't know...zombies? Maybe?

We want to see them fight zombies and try to rebuild the world and once and for all tell us what the heck caused the zombie outbreak in the first place! But no, all we have is one evil dictator after another on all three TWC shows. They are all just rehashes of the governor, one of the worst story arcs in TV history.

Felix does a magic trick lol
Clive_W24 October 2020
Did anyone spot the best editing mistake that was the highlight of the whole episode, and I couldn't stop laughing. Felix is clearly stood behind the chair where the girl character is sat, cuts away to another character, when it cuts back, felix has pulled one hell of a trick and moved now stood clearly away from the desk, not even close to where he was. And the lad in the background can't seem to remember whether he was leaning, sat against the side or maybe even standing at one point lol. I have to wonder if the editor knew the mistake was there or a proper rush job...

Not getting any better
paulofigueiredo258019 October 2020
First and second episodes were complete trash. But we know that sometimes tv shows start slow, progressively introduce their characters and after the first few spins, things start to get interesting. However, this third episode brings once again nothing truly appealing. The writers created a second hand world with cliche characters and problems/dilemmas very similar to the ones we've already seen in TWD and FTWD. This spin off is bringing absolutely nothing new to the table, besides recycling everything done before. It gets tiring really fast, even more when the writers/producers seem blind and deaf to the criticism surrounding TWD and FTWD of being severely dependent on long exposition dialogues that slow horrendously the pace of action. In World Beyond, there's even a slow motion sequence when someone's life is at stake, which tries the emphasize the moment, but instead makes it even more ridicule. Not to mention the cheesy narrated monologues during tense action scenes. It would help them a lot having a look at the comments here. They could have an idea of what's wrong and what people truly expect from a tv series like this. Instead, these people seem to live in a bubble, impervious to critique. This is still not enough. By a long shot. You have the chance of making this a very interesting series, all you have to do is listen to your audience and look for good sources of inspiration. And oh that British flag and semi-dictator with british accent were are huge unintended comedic relief...

Have you ever actually smelled a tire fire?
Rockriversky26 October 2020
Warning: Spoilers
There is absolutely no way that these people could spend the night in an area inundated with smoke from a tire/garbage fire and not wake up in severe respiratory distress. These writers are idiots.

Way better than episode 2, very good last 5 minutes!
ciudadcity18 October 2020
I'm enjoying myself with this show while 90% of the viewers really hate it. I can understand that, episode 2 was far from being a good installment of this show. Episode 3, however, delivers some decent character moments, good scenes with walkers and - as I mentioned in the title - a very intriguing last scene. I hope they will show us more from the CRM people in these upcoming episodes!

slow and i can't feel the air of TWD but...
kostantinosgontouras21 October 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Okey i'm a fan since the start of TWD i can say that i saw too many changes . there are ways to improve the series with more fights or a connection between all of the series in some way. The reason of the 7 is because i take hints about rick but not the best clues and also the characters are good but do not overthink about a teenage drama !!!!

Horrible
cruise0119 October 2020
1 out of 5 stars.

Boring and slow third episode. Ran a little too long with too much exposition. Characters are still stupid. Especially Iris and the three other teens who are just pure stupid. The script and direction is tedious. Definitely has yet to improve.

Unwatchable Badness
buddybradley-2266520 October 2020
Please bring some of the realism back to the franchise and let the dead eat these fools. Stupidest moment in this episode came when they had this great idea to set fire to some oil in a place where everything has been burning for 10 years. I think the bad poetry reading stunned the dead and allowed them to escape.

as bad as it started.
waltercarlucci23 October 2020
The kids are unbearable... seriously. You can blame the director and script writes to some extend but the actors are just bad. Iris should seriously look for another job. We all know why she got the role... What happend in this episode not worth mentioning

JUST WHEN YOU THINK......
jreeders51819 October 2020
It couldn't get any stupider, it does. It is nice to see, despite living in the Apocalypse and fighting for her life, her make-up and eyebrows are perfectly done. This is another cash-in by TWD creators. In a word, HORRIBLE!!!!!

AMC ruined TWD
jesuswalks-2524621 October 2020
Get a bigger budget for all of your TWD shows AMC. We're tired of watching sub par garbage with terrible actors who have zero charisma. Feels like a Disney show or a CW show. Go read Robert Kirkman's TWD Comics and take some inspiration from the unique and dark aspects that made TWD what it was.

Tutorial of how not to make me feel pity for the CRM
bernardofoquita22 October 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Sorry but I do not buy the last scene where he gets all emotional and says "We commited genocide so i'm sad now :((((((("

I can't buy a soldier feeling bad for commiting genocide if the show forces this "humanization" of the enemy. If you want me to feel bad for the CRM guys then make more scenes showing them as humans (having a family they care for, who they were before the apocalypse, romantic relationships, etc) or maybe in the first episode they could have shown us the soldiers hessitating to commit mass genocide.

Another idea could be that the CRM soldiers are forced conscripts that got hardened during training and by fighting walkers or other survivors (Maybe show scenes of fraternity or warcrimes).

I feel that Scott Gimple will go fully N*zi officers in the Nuremberg Trials style (Nah fam it was all Hitler's fault man, we were just following orders although we are also anti communists are racists like him) Although in this case instead of being Hitler it will be Elizabeth.

I'm going to compare it with the Fire Nation soldiers from ATLA (Yes I know trying to compare an adult's show with a kid's show it's bias but let me explain)

In ATLA they show the Fire Nation as a Imperialistic force that whiped out Aang's whole tribe, murdered Katara's and Sokka's mother, forced labor earthbenders, made a lot of refugees to live in horrible conditions trying to flee to Ba Sing Se.

But they also showed scenes of the Fire Nation soldiers being humans, not just brainless genocidal monsters. They showed fraternization between soldiers in the barracks were older soldiers would tell the recruits to don't get romantically involved with female soldiers. In the final battle we see a soldier totally happy because he thought the captain remembered his birthday. Iroh being a retired general that always punishes himself psycologically for not being able to save his son during his siege of Ba Sing Se

TWD World Beyond could do that, make little scenes between CRM soldiers talking with each other, with their families, maybe they have brothers or sisters in the army and make scenes of them caring for each other

Couldn't Even Finish The Episode
sjkriz3 November 2020
This will be my last episode to watch. It really sucks because I love The Walking Dead and had high hopes for this series. At least it's just a limited series I guess!

Poor Gimple
szymatt20 October 2020
This show began with so much potential. The direction of the show is just way off. So many missed opportunity's this episode to make me like these characters. The last few minutes of the episode were a nice touch to an otherwise long & drawn out episode.

Saved by the Bell: The Zombie Years
scott_caufield20 October 2020
I WANT to like this show. The premise is really interesting. The female leads are great too. But it just doesn't pop.

The show brings to mind elements of A Wrinkle In Time, and a little bit of Stand By Me . Except it lacks the magic that made those stories magical.

I don't feel invested in the characters AT ALL, and the show just falls flat. At this stage, I'm really just watching to learn more about the Commonwealth.

Seems to me like a 'fill-up' episode with nothing really happening at all(quite litteraly)
mjhuijbregts20 October 2020
Nothing really happend. Appart from the very last scene, there really wasn't anything interesting at all. This supposed to be the episode where we learned more about the bigger guy character(can't remember his name). Which I thought I would like. But we didn't really learn anything new about him at all. I thought the pilot was good, I liked it. I thought the second episode was alright too. But this really wasn't the best.

I could care less about these tweens back stories. They finally are killing walkers which is what the people want. Less pointless garbage

I just don't know
rosannadove18 October 2020
Warning: Spoilers
So- Michonne was getting mega annoying with her breathy delivery and overacting... BUT she's nothing compared to the chick who plays Huck. Was she told to be this damn awful and overact so much?!? Her delivery is nothing less that annoying- and what is up with her gait?!? Either the directors are "that bad" she's "that badz". Unfortunately, they've set this up to keep her around. We've got a gay costar so we know from the beginning they won't be any "shipping". Please make this show 100x better and get rid of her now.

Started to Fast Forward
meltingmel17 May 2023
I have GOT to get through this steaming pile of **** and as quickly as possible.

Writers of this show! I shouldn't be BEGGING, DYING to see one of these stupid kids get eaten!

You can tell this 100% is Gen Z meeting TWD and it's just... TERRIBLE. These kids wouldn't be alive. I wanted the close calls in this episode to not be close calls. I was DISAPPOINTED they didn't die and that's BAD. I should care about the main characters! But this show is so terrible. Look. Julie Plec wannabes have no place in TWD universe. What was AMC thinking?! This is the most frustrating show in the world to watch right now. As I said - I'm forcing myself for the sake of the binge watch but I will never be able to watch this absolute rubbish again.

All of these characters look and act like they walked off a damn Disney set.

"The Tyger and the Lamb" explores the concept of leadership and the burden it carries. Silas's story arc is particularly poignant as he grapples with his violent past
fernandoschiavi6 May 2024
Hope contacts the others and reveals that she has set off into the Blaze of Gory to sound an old tornado siren in order to lure the herd away from them. The others make their way to an office near the factory containing the siren where they are reunited with Felix and Huck. Silas is haunted by flashbacks to a violent altercation of some kind for which he was arrested and has made people fearful of him, calling Silas a monster, causing him to hesitate to put down walkers, admitting to Iris that he's afraid of himself. After some trouble, Hope manages to use the siren to lure most of the herd away, but she injures her foot while making her own escape. Rescuing her sister, Iris puts down her first walker and Hope puts down her first while saving Iris in turn.

The Endlings manage to escape the Blaze of Gory and a falling rack of tires keep the herd from following them any further. In the aftermath, the Endlings all refuse to abandon their mission and go home, and Felix and Huck reluctantly agree to join them, although Felix makes it clear that he intends to keep trying to change their minds. Hope finally opens up to Iris and reveals her role in their mother's death and how she had accidentally killed the woman who had killed their mother. In the Civic Republic, Kublek looks over an attack plan for Omaha and she is visited by Sergeant Major Barca who is struggling to come to terms with the genocide that the CRM has committed. Kublek insists that it was necessary to sustain their modern civilization of more than two hundred thousand people and has Barca taken away when his doubts persist. Despite her own insistence, Kublek is shown to be privately shedding tears over the map of Omaha.

Episode three of "The Walking Dead: World Beyond," titled "The Tyger and the Lamb," delves into the psychological struggles of the main characters, particularly focusing on overcoming fears and the internal battles that stem from their past actions. This installment manages to intertwine personal growth with suspenseful sequences, marking a significant turning point in the series' narrative arc.

On a broader thematic level, "The Tyger and the Lamb" explores the concept of leadership and the burden it carries. Silas's story arc is particularly poignant as he grapples with his violent past and the fear others have of him, which conflicts with his gentle nature. His struggle is mirrored in the group's dynamics, as they must decide whether to continue supporting him or distance themselves due to his history. This tension culminates in a critical scene where Silas chooses non-violence in a moment of crisis, reinforcing the theme of redemption and the possibility of change.

Critically, the episode does well to balance these intense personal dramas with the overarching narrative. However, it sometimes feels as though the show sacrifices some of its pacing to delve into these character studies. Despite this, "The Tyger and the Lamb" is a strong episode that effectively uses its characters' fears and desires to explore larger existential themes. It challenges the viewer to consider what it means to fight one's inner demons and the implications of such battles on one's ability to lead and inspire others in times of crisis. Overall, this episode enriches the narrative landscape of the series, setting a compelling foundation for the development of its characters.
