We don't like bullies
nogodnomasters12 December 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Following the tragic death of a teacher, Tony Middleton (James Groom) is hired as a teacher at the Henry West Grammar School. Er quickly learn there is a Kabal of students who exert mind control over others. Sarah is the ringleader as we discover the children are being drugged and trained as Alphas as Tony teaches "Brave New World."

Sarah just wasn't creepy enough for me, maybe it was the missing front teeth. The film seemed to drag. Characters were lame.

Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity.

Dull
vengeance2027 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Bought this cause I actually thought it be great. How wrong I was.

The film follows a new teacher who starts at a school after his dismissal from the previous one. The kids & teens in the school are not what they seem. And a sinister revelation starts to uncover as the new teacher grows ever suspicious to the behaviour of both the kids/teens & the attitudes of the teachers themselves.

I found the film to boring and very dull. Nothing interesting happens unless you count the janitor being made by supernatural forces to shove a broom down his throat. Aside from that, the film is pretty naff & doesn't have a lot going for it. Even at 1 hour & 16 minutes it drags somewhat & the dialogue/narrative isn't clear in the film.

Overall, its dull & uninteresting. 2/10.

Unintentionally HILARIOUS!🤣😂🤣😂
widowschild15 October 2022
What can i say? Within the 1st 10 minutes i thought i made a poor choice when the camera shook violently for no apparent reason. When i saw the awful wigs the "scary" children wore i decided it had potential to make me laugh. Boy was i rewarded. The child actors can't help showing their amusement at the wrong times, the deaths are hilarious and the continuity is suspect in a few scenes. My sides were hurting after this show.

It's terrible but in a fun way. Recommended watch with beer and friends if you are at a loss.

As a pro, the main actor is quite talented. In a better directed/written show i think he will do well.

Seriously though, this show nearly killed me. I couldn't breathe i was laughing so hard. Even my dog became concerned. 🤣

A great story we've seen before, copied and made boring.
rsvp32130 November 2019
Plagiarized shamelessly from the book, "The Midwich Cuckoos", John Wyndham 1957, adapted into two movies, "Village of the Damned", 1960, and 1995 (both excellent, I thought!)

None of the kids in this movie can act, but that actually might fall on the shoulders of the director and writers.

An absolute snooze fest, to quote Abe Simpson I coughed up scarier things. Don't waste your time on this.

Incredibly slow and boring. Primary children could put on a better play.

A school drama and film club could do better.
paulquinn-148674 September 2021
I've subjected myself to some pretty awful movies in the past, but this really is the pits.

The script was reportedly finished in 2 weeks and the actual filming in 8 days, during school term so as to use students as extras.

It shows in being so poorly made.

I'm positive the pupils could of done better themselves.

AWFUL
nadiarobertsss12 October 2021
This is one of the worst films I have ever seen. The plot is all over the place and never really goes anywhere. The acting is awful and the production itself is very low budget.

Just a really pointless and boring film. Don't waste your time watching it!

What did I just watch?

I was thinking "why am I watching this?"... Kept watching in hopes that something interesting might happen and those kids would be eventually locked away or destroyed or something... But...

Awful!
Hazelsmoke10 September 2021
That's 25 minutes of my life I will never get back (which is as long as I could bare) well 20 minutes actually, I went and made a cup of tea. Boring and badly acted. This story has been done so much better in the past as posted by rsvp321.

Seriously, don't waste your time with this.

Matilda meets Orphan set in Grange Hill
sarahwilliams-0842121 April 2022
The budget for this film was £2.34 and it was really poorly spent.

I gave it 2 stars because the premise was good and its was pretty amusing. Also, the main demon child looks like my wife did in the early 90s.

Didn't expect this...

Odd choice of title- it doesn't have anything to do with Village of the Damned. But suspect this has more to do with low budget distribution than it does the film makers.

This film is a lot of fun! Solid opening, great score and an assembly scene jam-packed with extras- I was surprised!

As the situation develops we see some great characters emerge. Particularly the two lead actors and the teacher of the creepy children.

Effects aren't always great but it's worth a watch.
Pairic4 September 2021
School of the Damned: A rather blatant rip off of Children of the Damned/Village of the Damned. It opens with a teacher being defenestrated by young children using ESP. A new teacher arrives and gradually notices something is odd about the Herbert West (!) School. Conspiracies, bullies bricked, nasty janitors dealt with, all by a group of seven year old children. Effects aren't always great but it's worth a watch. Again this might have worked better as an episode of an anthology series. Directed by Peter Vincent, written by Philip Dyas. On Netflix. 6/10.

Boring
jimis_00716 September 2021
This is my first review ever and I believe writing this is a lot more enjoyable than watching the movie. Good film if you want to sleep, one of the worst of you actually like movies.

That's quite bad
JuanLedif22 January 2023
This is a bad movie. The plot is as pointless as it can get. No reason for what is happening to the film, you will stop caring about it quite soon. The acting also is bad. Not even one I found that could be saved from it. Direction of the film isn't that bad for me and that's why I am giving it a 2 out of 10 instead of 1. Of course the bad acting is a thing that direction could fix maybe they didn't care. The budget is quite low. In general it is a meaningless movie that you will gain nothing by watching it. It has nothing to say. It has nothing to offer. Its length is small if you are not convinced it is that bad; so you can always form your onion opinion which is always the best if you ask me.

Failed, unscary wannabe horror flick
johannes2000-131 March 2024
"School of the damned" is a pretty promising title for an intended horror movie, but they didn't in any way live up to it. It fails on the most basic aspects: the story is shaky and goes all over the place, the atmosphere isn't a bit scary, and the acting is below par. With the exception of attractive and sympathetic James Groom, who plays main character Tony, the new teacher who unknowingly enters this weird school, he's the only talented actor in the cast and does his best, but cannot help drowning in the silliness and amateurism that surrounds him. The children that are the sources of all evil are supposed to look extremely menacing and sinister, but cramping your face as if you're constipated doesn't really do the trick. The only thing I liked was the way all the scholars immediately, as a drilled army platoon, responded on the tapping of the staff of the headmaster, that was a nice find. But for the rest: disappointing and totally superfluous.

The kids are (not) alright
kosmasp23 September 2021
You've seen most of what is served here in a much better way. In horror movies you may consider classics - but even if not you at least will like them more than this. Village of the Damned and so forth come to mind.

Still I reckon it is always eerie to have little ones be ... well evil. I've seen worse and the editing makes certain shocks and effects/deaths work even on the small budget this very likely had ... but will it be enough to keep you interested?

NOT GEORGIE
isiswhitford27 April 2024
Who thaught it was okay to dress Sarah up in that hideous wig, and whoever did her makeup needs to reconsider there career beacuse it looks like she has jaundice. And why did they think it was okay to kill off the only good character like? And why did the creepy chucky dupe have to kill him. The little girls actors were lowkey cute and suited the thingy but the makeup was not bosh. WHO THAUGHT IT WAS OKAY TO KILL OF GEORGIE? AND WHEN HE WAS BECOMING A GOOD PERSON ASWELL? HE SHOULDVE HAD A REDEMPTION ARC.

Also the teacher man guy literaly should have ran for the hills beacuse he was lowkey iconic and didn't need Allat, also that ginger girl should've been endgame beacuse she was such a cutie when she snapped out of her voodoo doll phase x.

Don't waste your time x
kittylucyblack27 April 2024
Just watch this so called 'film' and never been so bored. The worst script ever written, I hope whoever wrote this is banned from going near any pens paper for the rest of the life. The budget must be negative numbers because frankly it was shocking. The makeup and wig on Sarah look like the directors went to Poundland and chose the cheapest option. The actual storyline was unclear and sloppy. Acting from most of the characters was appalling a complete disaster. The script was so predictable and anything but good, please never ever waste your time on this movie and DO NOT listen to Netflix when it recommends this to you!

-From a teenage girl who actually knows how to write.
