Typical Pakistani movie ultra similar to PNJG.. Wajahat Rauf can't think of anything better! And the hype they created.... Omg! Wasted my time watching a film with stupid acting, script, songs and quality!

This i my first review of a Pakistani Movie but i will try to be as critical as a novice can be.
First the good parts; Shiraz Uppel hands down a great job. Really good music. Chhalawa title song was on of the reasons i watched the movie. It was catchy!!
Acting of Mehwish Hayat and Mehmood Aslam is acceptable.(bearly)
Zara Noor is someone that has however, stood out. Her character "Haya" was also the only character that could be seen as developed. Zara's acting was spot on and where ever the script allowed she could outshine. She is the only character that made me chuckle (only emotion that came may be twice or thrice on my face in the entire movie!)
Now about the bad parts or should i say the entire movie. Storyline, dialogues, Direction (Google auto corrected to directionless...i tend to agree with that). The writters need creative writing lessons. A story has to have some flow a start, middle and end atleast. To say the story didn't had that flow would still be an understatement. The storyline and direction was so off, i ended up wondering if they even watched the movie after they had put it together. The director must have been sleeping when the final cut paste and patch it up was done. One after another the scenes made no sense and then there were songs dropping by for no reason at all. In the final scenes i spent time re-arranging the movie and found it (re arranged version) much more appealing when the product which was presented.
I believe mehwish and mehmood aslam should have withdrawn their names after seeing the script. Theire characters lacked any depth and were One dimensional and underdeveloped right from the start till the end.
Other actors made no effort of putting forward a good show.
All in All a movie to avoid.

The direction wasn't upto the mark. Songs were just okay. Bad acting by everyone. And out of nowhere, songs would pop-in between different scenes. Although, the movie was a good one-time watch. Only watched this movie because, of Mehwish Hayat.
Left cinema in 10 minutes--My Record so far

I wanna see the Paksitani cinema flourish, loved the recent flicks. This time against all the reviews and ratings, I still bought a gold-class-ticket (there is no better way to watch a movie other than recliner seats), Anyways, despite Ms Mehwish Hayat's stardom (perhaps the sole reason to go in first place) I was able to improve my record of exiting the cinema hall by 10 minutes (previous was 20 minutes).
Huge disappointment.

Wajahat Rauf is indeed Pakistan's worst director.

The story and dialogues were awful and not funny at all. A legendary actress like Mehwish Hayat was completely wasted in this movie. The only good thing about this movie was Zara Noor. However, her acting felt very similar to that of her aunt Bushra Ansari. Casting television actors like Azfer Rehman and Asad Siddiqui was not a good choice either. Asad Siddiqui's acting was cringeworthy especially in the scene where he was drunk. And casting Wajahat Rauf's son is a good example of nepotism. Chhalawa title song was a good song and its choreography was good as well. Chirrya was useless and it had no significance in the movie.

Best wishes for this movie from Bangladesh.
I watched Wajahat Rauf's other 2 films 'Karachi Se Lahore' and 'Lahore Se Aagey'. The 2 films were really awesome. We can't watch Lollywood films in our cinema halls. So, we're in waiting to get this on Youtube as soon as possible. Good luck!
What a waste.

Disgusting Movie
MehdiRizvi-786726 October 2022
Extremely pathetic movie with over used dialogues and comedy. Especially the most unnecessary and sad part as a Muslim was to show Asad having a bottle of wine in his hand and drunk. Trying to copy India they forgot that we have our own culture and religion where we can do a lot differently and still make it impressive. Shame on the writer and director!
I found every scene to be a copy of a scene from an Indian movie. Repetitive love story, over acting from male actors made it even worse. Pathetic.
One of the worst movie. Boring actors. Worst acting. Illogical scene.
The Ghatiya Film.... Overall, one of the flop movie of the year.
