The only copy I have been able to find of this originally two-reel cartoon is a half-reel cutdown -- three and a half minutes instead of a listed 17, showing a bird escaping from his cage, falling in love with another bird, and then comes the cut -- suddenly he is returning to his cage to spend the evening with another bird.
Clearly the missing fourteen minutes largely consists of showing that it's better to stay at home, but this is all that is available. It's shot in Agfacolor and shows the typical issues of the process, the probably vibrant colors having faded to brown. It's naturalistic -- no words, but a lively, jazzy orchestral score. It's also a normative story, urging people to stay at home. It would be interesting to see the missing sections, but until they show up, it's a decent nullity.
