Potential here with better production values

The movie has a connection for me being filmed in Arizona. I also worked as an adult and juvenile probation officer. What the movie gets right are the struggles a lot of guys in the system are faced with after release. At the same time any officer of the court must maintain professionalism.

This is a faith based movie that tells a good story about having faith in God even when the struggles constantly come at you for no reason other than you exist. One man is trying to move in from his past and live right but faces many obstacles. The message here is towards the young folks who think they're invincible. The choices and mistakes you make as a young person can come back and haunt you when you're older and trying to movie past it all. The production values are amateur and the acting is pretty bad. Otherwise it's a decent effort and story.

Not your typical Christian film

I don't care much for most Christian films. This one was different. I feel it showed real life struggles of what it must be like for an ex-con as they try to adapt to life outside prison walls. This film helped me see things from their perspective and hopefully reach out to those who look different than I do. Great cast and dialogue, the film makers did a great job.

Moved to pray🙏🏼

I watched on Thursday & Fri. June 4th & 5th.2020 on amazon prime. I then decided to pray for a friends family member in prison. I was moved to pledge to pray every night tfor his transition until I hear of his success. Thank you cast for making a realistic movie on one of life's toughest transitions.

I especially appreciated how you displayed Michael Siglerso character out of his comfort zone yet pushed himself toward a higher calling. My favorite part of this movie though was how Michael Ochotorena was able to display such vulnerability with such an intimidating appearance.. The best part was his humility a virtue that he seemed inborn. Great job Michael O.! Dean Cain, perfect fatherly character of being stern yet merciful. Shout out to David Welty for helping humanity with God-given talent. May he write more realistic stories that help humanity in such despairing times. (Pandemic and civil unrest and racism. Also thank you Jason Campbell for directing a cast with the goal of improving people's perception of loving our neighbors. I pray for much success for this cast and crews future endeavors.

Touches the heart, makes you laugh, stirs up faith--RECOMMENDED!

I really loved "John Light." It is rare for me to find a film and characters that both hooked me and made me wish for more.

The film isn't perfect, but it handles the journey of John Light well. The message is heartfelt and moving, with several laugh out loud moments, and a compelling story which many of us will identify with. The power of faith, of people who use their faith for good, and of being able to belong to a family, despite one's past, is something all people desire. This film is worthy and should be watched.

Highly recommended!

Genuine, shares real struggles

Excellent movie. It had funny moments, it had sweet moments, it had memorable moments. At the end, I just sat there a while and digested it. Conveyed genuine struggles that many go through. Well worth watching.

I've worked with inmates just out of jail and prison and it's not easy work. Only by the grace of God can such changes happen in lives that have been badly damaged, and many times that damage occured during childhood. Beautiful and uplifting!

I think this is one of the best movies I've seen in a while ! I Love movies and real life story's of harden criminals and people that have lived a life of sin and God Saves them and uses them for His Glory ! The roads not easy, but Miracles happen all the time. We are weak but He is Strong. Watch this Movie, it's Awesome !!!
