During the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, the Bhuj airbase is attacked and a race against time begins to rebuild the damaged airstrip.

Bhuj : Pride of India is a celebration of the 300 women of Madhapur in Gujarat lead by IAF squadron leader Vijay Karnik who played a pivotal part in India's victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak war. Karnik with his team, with the help of these local women created history by reconstructing the only IAF airstrip at Bhuj destroyed during war. Karnik was lauded for his valiant efforts which saved the day for the Indians. The film will be a tribute to unparalleled bravado displayed by not only Karnik but 300 women from the villages near Bhuj who accomplished this feat.—mystery boy

During the 1971 India Pakistan War the airbase in Bhuj was completely destroyed by the Pakistani army which left many injured and caused many deaths in the Indian army.IAF squadron leader Vijay Karnik gets information that Pakistani army is eyeing the Bhuj post and plans to capture in next 48 hours Karnik has only option to re build the post but has no technicians.The information reaches late to Karnik as Indian spy Heena Rahman based in Pakistan gets killed,he then takes help of a local daredevil women Sunderban who with another 300 local women and other villagers build the airbase within a day.Karnik also gets timely support from his informer Ranchordas Pagi,A fighter Pilot Vikram and army officer Nair which helps the Indian army land on the airbase much before the attack.—alex.mjacko@gmail.com
