Lillian Luthor : Why don't we have a cup of tea while Lex tells us why he summoned us here?

Lena Luthor : He summoned us here to gloat.

Lex Luthor : You think so little of me, Lena. It hurts. I'm a sentimental guy. I didn't do all of this for me, I did it for us. I mean, look, we all know if I wanted you two dead, you wouldn't be treading on the presidential seal having a tea party. Everything I've done has been strategic to lead up to this very moment. The Luthor name cleared. Our family poised to take its rightful place in history.

Lillian Luthor : And what exactly are we poised to do?

Lex Luthor : Revolutionize energy worldwide. I'm rounding up aliens and harnessing their power to be used and sold; sort of like supercharged disposable batteries.

Lena Luthor : That's vile!

Lex Luthor : Vile and viable. As another world leader once said, "I don't see why men shouldn't be as cruel as nature."

Lillian Luthor : Try not to quote Hitler in public, dear. It'll hurt the brand.

Lena Luthor : Let me guess, you're having the President tied up in the Treaty Room?

Lex Luthor : Puppets don't need to be tied up, Lena. You just hang them up by their strings.

Lena Luthor : Well, why don't you put a blond wig on the President, and you sell him and Eve as a matching set?

Lillian Luthor : Now, now. You two play nicely. This the first family gathering we've had in ages, and I'd like to enjoy myself.

Lena Luthor : Your murderous son has duped the world into thinking he's Earth's hero. This is hardly Thanksgiving dinner.

Lena Luthor : Kara. I was worried. I heard the president tried to silence you.

Kara Danvers : I'm okay.

Lena Luthor : Thank god. And then Supergirl?

Alex Danvers : She's alive, and she's ready to fight.

Kara Danvers : Brainy, the president had the Secret Service wipe all of CatCo's servers, and I lost all of my evidence. Can you recover it?

Querl Dox : [calling it onto Lena's plasma] It's already done.

Kara Danvers : Yes. Yes! This proves that Lex has been working with Kaznia, and he used Red Daughter to attack the White House.

Lena Luthor : It also proves that the government gave Lex alien prisoners from the DEO desert facility.

Querl Dox : Not just the aliens from the DEO facility. J'onn J'onzz, Dreamer, and I have discovered that Lex has been transferring aliens rounded up by Ben Lockwood and bringing them to a private facility, where he's been siphoning their powers.

Kara Danvers : My god! Well, where is this facility?

Querl Dox : That information is forthcoming.

Alex Danvers : Is that where J'onn and Dreamer are?

Querl Dox : Hopefully. They have been abducted.

Lena Luthor : What?

Kara Danvers : Why didn't you tell us that?

Alex Danvers : Are you serious?

Querl Dox : That is a rather strong emotional reaction for such an insignficant detail. Our plan is to save the aliens. Those aliens will simply include J'onn and Dreamer.

Lena's Assistant : Excuse me, Ms. Luthor, this came for you.

Lena Luthor : Thank you.

Alex Danvers : What is it?

Lena Luthor : It's an invitation to the White House. From Lex.

Kara Danvers : Lena, you can't possibly be thinking of going.

Lena Luthor : If I don't go, Lex'll come after the people I care about, and I can't have that happen. Besides, if I see Lex, I'll be able to get some stellar quotes for my best friend's article. Speaking of which, Kara, you better start typing.

Lena Luthor : You killed Superman's cousin, took over the country. What makes you think he's gonna sit idly by on Argo and allow this to happen?

Lex Luthor : Ah, I was hoping you'd bring up the Man of Yesterday. The first batch of depleted aliens will charge the satellite weapon that will turn Argo into a blazing inferno, and Superman into, well, ash.

Eve Teschmacher : May I speak with you privately?

Lex Luthor : Excuse me for a moment. Please enjoy the view of the South Lawn, famous for its egg-rolling contest.

Lena Luthor : You're not buying this, Mother?

Lillian Luthor : Of course not. I've already poisoned his tea. If he'd stopped running his mouth long enough to take a sip, he'd be dead by now.

Lena Luthor : If you do this, it's genocide. The public will find out the truth, and when they do...

Lex Luthor : The truth is meaningless. The people of Earth believe I am their savior. They needed a human hero, and I fulfill that need. Nothing will ever change their minds. Facts are irrelevant. All that matters is spin. People are so stupid, they don't even read. And even when they do, they certainly don't think. I am the leader of this nation now, and nothing can stop me.

Lex Luthor : [loud yell:] Ms. Teschmacher!

[she rushes in]

Lex Luthor : Why is the satellite not firing?

Eve Teschmacher : There's an issue at Shelley Island.

Lex Luthor : [bombastic yell:] No one leaves!

[suits up, zooms off]

Eve Teschmacher : [as Lena gets up, aims gun at her] Don't get any ideas!

Lena Luthor : You wretched little traitor!

[grabs gun out of Eve's hand]

Lena Luthor : No more superpowers for you.

Lex Luthor : Lena. What a surprise.

Lena Luthor : What can I say, Lex? You've become predictable.

Lex Luthor : I left the journal for you, paired it with the mural, hoping you would remember this place and show up when I needed you. You know, it just comes down to this, sis. You can only count on blood. Come on, give me a hand.

[she draws a revolver]

Lex Luthor : Come on, Lena, this is no time for theatrics. We both know no matter how much you despise me, you're not ruthless enough to pull that trigger...

Lena Luthor : [shooting him] The world will never be a safe place with you in it.

Lex Luthor : Oh, brava! You did it, Lena. You killed me. You finally proved that I've been underestimating you all this time. But when I'm gone, who will be left to be proud of you? What, your friends? The joke's on you. It's always been on you.

[turning on a monitor]

Lex Luthor : Your friends have been lying to you from the start. Your boyfriend Jimmy, Alex, J'onn, that little alien runt Brainy. Even your own mother. They've mocked you, humiliated you, betrayed you. Every last one. Denial's a very powerful thing, isn't it? It's been standing right in front of you all this time. And you chose not to see it. Kara Danvers is Supergirl. I'm about to die, but at least I lived without ever being a fool. You're left with no one and nothing.

J'onn J'onzz : Hey!

Kara Danvers : Yay!

Kelly Olsen : Hi!

Alex Danvers : There she is.

J'onn J'onzz : James will be here soon, and then the whole family will be together.

Querl Dox : Huzzah!

Kara Danvers : Where've you been?

Lena Luthor : [after an awkward silence, she takes out a bottle of wine] I didn't know what to bring, so I brought red and white.

Alex Danvers : Yes!

Kara Danvers : Nice.

J'onn J'onzz : Well, now that you're here, we can divide up and play "Catch Phrase".

Kara Danvers : Yeah, J'onn is making us switch up the usual teams.
