There are some excellent parts of this show that make it worth the 40 half hour episodes. The story is a clever blend of historical figures and dramatic composites. The last third is thrilling and moving. Really feel for the resistance fighters then. If only they had more money to make this show. Some sets and props don't look authentic. The cast is mostly good except for Lee Yo Won is not expressive enough just sullen or blank. Yoo Ji Tae isn't that handsome but he looks serious enough for the role. Beautiful Nam Gyu Ri brightens up the screen whenever she is on an sings 30s style songs well. The other heroes are good as well as the peculiar looking actor Im Joo Hwan who plays Fukuda.
