Actor Waymond Lee, known for his role in Workaholics, has passed away. He was 72 years old.

Per TMZ, Lee died on Wednesday, Dec. 18, with his passing confirmed by his sister, Norine Lee, and his wife, Diane. According to his loved ones, Lee's passing was attributed to complications from Als, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. The actor was first diagnosed with a degenerative brain disease in October, though it wasn't until earlier this month when he was diagnosed with Als.

Lee's family also stated that the actor was able to return home for a little over a week after his updated diagnosis, but returned to the hospital when he had difficulties with breathing and swallowing. After spending a little under a week hospitalized, he died with his wife by his side. Jennifer Aniston took some time at the top of her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Wednesday night to remember the late Kris Kristofferson, who died over the weekend.

Kristofferson passed away peacefully surrounded by family at his home in Maui, Hawaii, on Saturday, a family spokeswoman said.

K.C. Fox, an Emmy-nominated set decorator who worked on the sets of films like Speed, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and The 40-Year-Old Virgin, died August 28 of pancreatic cancer. The prolific artisan, whose career spanned four decades, was 70.

“Known for her joie de vivre, keen artistic eye, belly laugh, and clever wit, she was beloved by her crew and colleagues,” the Set Decorators Society of America wrote in an obituary on its website. “K.C. generously offered career advice, mentored through the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and served on many Boards and Committees at the Sdsa and AMPAS.”

A founding member of the Sdsa and 2024 recipient of the Earl Cooperman Lifetime Achievement Award, Fox died at home, surrounded by her family. Throughout her illustrious career, she racked up two Art Directors Guild Awards for The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and HBO’s Little Britain USA.

Karen Cynthia “Kc” Fox, an Emmy-nominated set decorator and founding member of the Set Decorators Society of America, died from pancreatic cancer on Aug. 28 at her Los Angeles home. She was 70.

Scarlett Johansson couldn’t get her audition for Alfonso Cuarón’s “Gravity” off the ground.

The “Under the Skin” star told Entertainment Tonight about doing a screen test for Cuarón’s Oscar-winning 2013 film that eventually starred Sandra Bullock as an astronaut whose space shuttle is destroyed.

Johansson revealed that she has “done a lot of weird screen tests” and cited “Gravity” as one of them.

“I did a screen test for the movie ‘Gravity,’ that Sandra Bullock is fantastic in, but I had to be in, like, the full whole space suit thing, and sort of pretend I was kind of like floating in space,” Johansson said, “even though I was just sitting in a chair with a helmet on.”

After her latest magazine interview wherein she allegedly wished her mother Jaid Barrymore dead made headlines, the host of ‘The Drew Barrymore Show’ set the record straight on the misinformation, reports aceshowbiz.com.

On Monday, the 48-year-old actress shared an Instagram video in which she addressed the misleading information.

Ben Affleck's new thriller Hypnotic earns a Rotten Tomatoes score that is as bad as Justice League. In Hypnotic, Affleck plays protagonist Danny Rourke, a detective looking into a mystery surrounding his missing daughter. Hypnotic is directed by Robert Rodriguez and stars Alica Braga (niece of legendary Brazilian actress Sonia Braga) and Jd Pardo. Despite anticipation around the movie, the reviews have been mixed to poor, adding to another collection of Ben Affleck's films that missed the mark with critics.

With Hypnotic now in theaters, the film's Rotten Tomatoes score is a rotten 39 percent, the same score that the original Justice League received in 2017. Amazon Freevee has landed the exclusive first-run U.S. rights to “Casa Grande,” a bilingual limited series that follows the tales of California’s hardworking, often undocumented migrant workforce, as well as the wealthy landowners in Northern California.

The series, which consists of five one-hour episodes, premieres May 1 on Freevee. Lauren Swickard (“A California Christmas”) and Ali Afshar created “Casa Grande,” which comes from Afshar’s Esx Entertainment shingle.

The actor, producer and former race car driver is founder and president of Esx Entertainment, a prolific indie film and TV production company that’s made its name in recent years pumping Yuletide content to streamers amid the pandemic.

The projects are modestly budgeted and shot efficiently and safely, mostly due to Afshar’s commandeering of his hometown — a sleepy Sonoma County village called Petaluma, where he built a soundstage from a converted barn and mines below-the-line crew from local residents. Drew Barrymore shared some very exciting news on the Feb. 23 episode of her talk show, "The Drew Barrymore Show," during which she revealed that she and longtime collaborator Adam Sandler are looking to do another movie together.

During the episode, Barrymore talked to her cohost Ross Matthews about how Tom Hanks and Robin Wright - who starred together in "Forrest Gump" - are teaming up for a new film together. Matthews said, "And I love when people we love in movies like reteam for a movie. So, I'm gonna ask you on behalf of everyone, you and Adam Sandler, are we doing another one?"

Disco, who has over two decades of film producing experience, will oversee the creative direction and business strategy of Agbo’s film department as it works to “foster dynamic partnerships and innovative storytelling.”
