Nia Nal : Well, someone has to protect innocent people. With Supergirl lying low, we have to pick up the cape. You know, you could always blue-green up and join me out there.
Querl Dox : Without Supergirl, there's a 63.6% chance that you and I will be apprehended. If we are not smart and careful that...
[his phone beeps]
Querl Dox : If you'll excuse me...
[he flickers in and out]
Querl Dox : [glitches, goes like a cuckoo clock:] Ah! Ah!
Nia Nal : Seriously? You were a hologram the whole time?

[in rush to leave]
Nia Nal : Oh, but wait...
Querl Dox : [glitches again] Ah! Ah!
[hologram disappears]

Kara Danvers : Good evening. This is Kara Danvers with CatCo Media, and this is a worldwide exclusive. I'm here with the hero who has been fighting in the shadows. This is Dreamer. My first question, who are you?
Dreamer : I'm Dreamer, and I am a descendant of a daughter of Naltor.
Kara Danvers : When did you come here from Naltor?
Dreamer : I didn't. I was born here in America. I grew up...
Ben Lockwood : Shut this off.
DEO Agent : We can't. Someone hacked the system.
Dreamer : ...where humans and aliens lived together in harmony. My mother was Naltorian, but my father was a human.
Kara Danvers : So you are both human and alien.
Dreamer : Yes. My parents believed that humans and aliens could co-exist. And I am living proof of that. But growing up wasn't easy. I am also a trans woman. I'm different, Ms. Danvers, but so is everybody. And I don't know when that became such a bad thing. The greatest gift we can give each other is our authentic selves and sharing that. Sharing our truth is what will make us strong. So here I am. I am both human and alien. And I am a trans woman. S'mores are my favorite dessert. But I will always choose salty over sweet. I broke my nose when I was fifteen during a game of kickball. And my mother was my heart. And since I lost her, it's felt like a piece of me is missing. But my father is my spine. I'm a Gryffindor. Kara Danvers : You should be.
Querl Dox : [watching with Lena] What does... love feel like?
Kara Danvers : Are you afraid of how the world will react to you now that they know you're an alien?
Dreamer : Of course. But you know what else? Fear sucks. It sucks. And I am so sick of feeling hopeless. Dawn doesn't come unless we want it to. But we don't have to wait for a new day. We are the new day.
Kara Danvers : Your mother would be so proud of you.

Querl Dox : [to Dreamer, while fighting Lockwood and his agents] We should get out of here. Getting caught also sucks.

First Looter : Go home, alien! It's after dark.
Second Looter : [the alien jumps into the back of his truck and shuts the door] Open the door, alien!
[glass shatters nearby]
Second Looter : What was that?
[a street lamp bulb blows out]
Second Looter : Supergirl?
Dreamer : [appearing] Howdy, boys.
First Looter : Who are you?
Dreamer : I'm your worst nightmare.
[they turn to flee, but she catches and knocks them out an an energy whip]
Dreamer : Sweet dreams.
Querl Dox : Get out of there, Dreamer. The DEO van is headed your way, and this place is about to be swarming with Lockwood's men.

Querl Dox : By George, I think we've got it. We stumbled upon your core trauma, James. And surprisingly, it isn't a Lex Luthor murder attempt. It's your father's death.
James Olsen : Brainy, you said that whatever I saw in your mind palace was gonna be based on real memories. I wasn't at our father's funeral.
Querl Dox : Yes. You were. Incontrovertibly.
Kelly Olsen : No, Brainy, he wasn't. I was alone. That is not something you forget.
Querl Dox : Consider the possibility that James was there, and you, Kelly, did not see him.
James Olsen : I was across the street. At a diner. I got locked in the bathroom and nobody could hear me. By the time the manager opened up the door, his funeral... his funeral was over.
Querl Dox : Perhaps that is merely a picture of the truth that got framed and hung in your mind. An excuse you invented that, over time, even you came to believe. The mind will play tricks to protect itself. Think of memories like a watercolor. While you're painting, the colors blend into each other without clear borders until they grow opaque. Once the painting dries, the picture is set.
Kelly Olsen : Yeah, I'm sorry, I need a break.
Querl Dox : [she leaves] Was it my metaphor?

Lena Luthor : I haven't figured out the extraction yet, Brainy.
Querl Dox : That's why I came up. Urgency is no longer required. James has successfully completed his mind palace. With his trauma unblocked, the Harun-El seems to have stopped attacking his PTSD and is regulated throughout his body. His long-term prognosis with your drug in his system is good.

Alex Danvers : [running tests on James at the DEO] Heart rate is 186. His ICP at 22 mil, and his BP is 160/30 and rising.
Querl Dox : EKG now erratic. Pardon me for stating the obvious, but I do not believe the extraction process is working. You're pulling plasma, not Harun-El, and you're exacerbating his symptoms.
James Olsen : It's okay. Keep going.
[Lena taps her tablet; James grunts in pain as his hearing is overloaded with stimuli]
James Olsen : Oh, god... okay. I'm fine.
Lena Luthor : I'm sorry. I thought this would work. I took this AmerTek technology straight from Lex's cell and I followed the instruction plans from Eve's lab exactly.
Querl Dox : In the interest of science, was that super hearing you just experienced?
Kelly Olsen : Super-hearing now, too?
Alex Danvers : It seems every panic attack is bringing out a new ability.
Lena Luthor : I will fix this. I just... need to better understand this.

Querl Dox : A mind palace is a hyper-real interactive space in James' mind. This device taps into James' temporal lobe, allowing me to map out his memories. Everything he experiences will be real and true. If James is able to identify and face his core trauma, he may be able to manage the attacks.
Alex Danvers : Do we know why the Harun-El is making the attacks worse?
Querl Dox : Lena's drug was designed to attack illness. In this case, it was focused on the PTSD, heightening what would normally be just a panic attack. And since the drug also gives you superpowers, the attacks were causing the powers to be uncontrollable.
James Olsen : So you're saying even if I'm able to manage the symptoms, I'm still gonna have superpowers?
Querl Dox : Yes. But you'll be able to control them. Now, shall we jump in?
James Olsen : Let's do this.

Kelly Olsen : Hey, thank you for being here. It means a lot.
Alex Danvers : Oh, there's no place I would rather be.
Querl Dox : There is an 86.7% chance that your core trauma has something to do with Lex Luthor. So we shall start by exploring that region. Are we all ready to begin?
[everybody nods]
Querl Dox : Good.

[an elevator opens and three people get off]
James Olsen : No, no, no. Wait, wait, wait. This is... something wrong. This is not how it happened that day.
Querl Dox : The memories are folding in on one another.

James Olsen : [waking up in his memories] It's the day of the funeral.
Querl Dox : Looks like you're early.

Funeral Parlor Employee : You can't be in here. The funeral hasn't started yet.

Alex Danvers : His vitals are spiking.
Querl Dox : Push through the memory.
[he returns to real time]
Querl Dox : My connection's lost. I can't reach him. Kelly, I fear James' mind has merged with his younger self. You were there. You could tether him. Will you go in?
Kelly Olsen : No. No, no, no. I-I-I can't.
Querl Dox : He needs guidance. He will recognize you as his young sister.
Alex Danvers : No, Brainy, it's too much to ask of her. Okay? There has to be another way.
Kelly Olsen : [reconsidering] I'll do it.

Alex Danvers : I can't get ahold of Kara. Lockwood is heading to CatCo. I gotta get her and Dreamer out of there.
Kelly Olsen : Wait. You're gonna be court-martialed if you try to stop Lockwood.
Querl Dox : [approaching] They cannot catch us if they cannot see us.

Dreamer : [deleted scene] What about the bad odds of getting caught?
Querl Dox : Yes, well, I wanted to apologize for my calculations in regards to the likelihood that you and I would be apprehended without Supergirl. I forgot to take one important X factor into consideration. You. Nia Nal. When you are taken into consideration, it seems our chances become limitless. We start our patrol tonight by helping the aliens you rescued at Al's. I'm sure they could use help finding a place to stay.
Dreamer : Well, um, I actually found them someplace already.
