Well, this was hard to find but we got it eventually. Talks about real issues but lacks runtime and emotional connection.

Best documentary short ranked: 1. In the Absence 2. St. Louis Superman 3. Learning to Skateboard in a Warzone 4. Walk Run Cha-Cha 5. Life Ovetakes Me

Beautiful

Touching and beautiful film. It's raw pain and uplifting at the same time. Impossible not to be moved by the man and is story.

Mister Franks Goes To Washington

Not only is this a classic Mr Smith Goes To Washington kind of film, it's got everything you want from a documentary. It's a story about a black man made by a 100% diverse crew and company. And it hits you where it hurts. Uncomfortable and uncompromising, it doesn't apologise for itself when it hits hardest at the racist structures that make and made America what it is. Classic storytelling done well.

Perfect Timing

Thank you to MTV for showing this now, and without commercials. In the wake of Ahmaud, it is supremely significant.

Extremely well done.

Real.

This film tugs at your heartstrings as it dives into downtown St. Louis as well as St. Louis county revealing real issues within the community. Corruption, social injustice, and innocent lives being taken away is just the start. Bruce fought from the lowest of points in order to make a change, but in an unconventional way...from the inside. Most people complain about the change but he put himself in a place to actually do it. Hearing and watching his journey is breathtaking. Great film.
