Weddings bring out the best and worst in people...

I am Abby Lockhart's biggest fan, and even I sometimes roll my eyes at her tendencies to overthink, so it was nice to see her finally put away some of her neuroses and say yes to the surprise wedding. After all, she was the one who came home a few episodes prior and said to Luka, "Ask me again to marry you." That part of the episode was lovely, as was Pratt's response when Luka asked him to be his best man, as well as his touching toast to the newlyweds at the celebration. Weddings can bring out the best in people. They can also bring out the worst, as evidenced by the fight between Gates and Ray over the inexplicable appeal of Neela. It was completely absurd having Neela on the receiving end of attention from four different people. FACEPALM.

But overall one of the best episodes in this season.

The episode had a great idea. It was awesome to have such a surprise of a wedding. It was not just a surprise for Abby but for me as a viewer as well. And it went great. I loved their ceremony as well as everything their guests were saying about them.

I could live without the fight between Tony and Ray. I can't get what is great about Neela character. She is annoying so have guys fight over her is absolutely silly. Especially when I think what she indirectly did to the woman Tony lived with before.

The ending tough was great. So I guess Ray is now killed off as well? Too bad I liked the character. But in a way it is correct that Neela killed him. Not directly again, but this is what happens to people involved with her.

The best episodes in this season!!

The funniest thing in the wedding. The exact Punjabi blessing translated from Neela is: "I went to the market thinking ill get chicken for you but I couldn't find any chicken so I got fish for you instead"

It's a great that Luka did surprise wedding for Abby. Abby may have never decided on it. I kind feel bad for Abby that she didn't get her family together here. Sam certainly sees what she missed out on. Luka was ready for a family but Sam wasn't. Not like Abby was either. Abby alot of time has to have things fall onto her before she decides.

Morris bringing much needed comedy to the event. Morris having a go at Sam was fun. She needs to be put in her place.

Pratt and Ray sulking was good too. Pratt being fake that he doesn't wanna settle down. Pratt more likely to settle down than Ray.

Great moment between Hope and Abby. I think Hope needed it. I hate happy and religious people get made out to be obnoxious in TV shows and movies.

Dubenko the lonely man who warned Luka then made a mistake of his own with Neela. Neela getting some surprising McLovin 😮 from the new girl.

Ray confronting Tony was great. And her. Some much needed macho man action. Ray wasn't wrong though. Tony had this weird surrogate family then left first chance he got. He played with Meg before and she said Tony does it alot.

Great idea to add cam video memories for Luka and Abby!

I'm only powering through to see the cast get together for last season. I haven't been invested since season 8. Sherry Stringfield leaving was defo a money thing. She gets like 2 mentions in show why she left her job. Producers messed that up! She was last character I really cared for.

I loved EVERY SECOND of this episode! I am writing this a decade after originally broadcast so a spoiler should not be a big deal. A SHANGHAI wedding? How perfect!

Cynicism is overrated

This was a sweet episode, the fight was stupid and I hope Ray is okay! Ray and Neela belong together. I don't know what people's issues are with her. Why do people have to be cynical!!

Can a show jump the shark and then jump even further?

Ridiculous episode...

Why is the ER closed again?

Luca is organising surprise weddings now? Where are Abbey's family? Only ER staff are invited?

You'd figure Kovac might be a bit apprehensive about weddings after the end of his first marriage? Don't buy he'd organise it without even telling Abbey.

Whole episode seemed so contrived and Ridiculous. Guess ER was bleeding viewers by this point and the writers were thrashing around trying to save it.
