- A New York City dance teacher's search for the ideal mate leads her down a challenging and downright dangerous path.
- Mango tango is an early embodiment of the #MeToo theme. The film illustrates the trials and travails of a young woman, who is looking for a loving relationship, but instead experiences abuse by men in positions of power, whose professional help she has been seeking out in the first place. Leading up to the climax of the film is an off- balance tango between perpetrator and victim, showing that only two people who respect each other are able to dance in unison. The protagonist, ironically a tango teacher, who teaches her students balance and respect , has an intuition early on in form of vivid dreams.. But it will take some hard knocks for her to realize what's really going on.

In New York City's 'Gender Gap' she is looking for Mr. Right, only to meet with one disappointment after another. After each break up Marlene tries to console herself with a mango in her bathtub. One day, after an especially painful break up she happens to run into Dr. Goldstein, a psychotherapist, in Central Park. The chance encounter leads to her becoming his client and over time her trust and confidence are growing. And in typical Freudian tradition, it doesn't take long for her to fall in love with her therapist. In addition to her relationship pains, a stalker surfaces, who warns her in letters and anonymous phone calls about 'chem- trails' that the 'World Management Team' is supposedly spraying into the air over densely populated cities. The intruder's messages to her increase over time, leaving her paranoid and scared. Who could it be? There are a few suspects, including her Ex- boyfriend Tony, a follower of an Indian guru who regularly rolls coconuts around his head to bust his 'bad karma.' Finally fed up, she follows her therapist's advice and takes a relaxing vacation in the German Alps 'away from it all.' But instead, Marlene finds herself facing her greatest challenge. Will she fight or give up? The decision is up to her...
