Ride To Live A Feature Opportunity
DJMorrison6 November 2008
When you mess with a man's family, rage needs no justification.

Cole is a man of exceptional talent and athletic ability in the world of the extreme athlete. Now in his mid 30's, and a father, his past has coming back to threaten them all.

As a young man in 1988, Cole and his friends utilized the winding roads of Idaho's Highway 55 as their personal playground. This two lane mountain highway bordered by the raging rapids of the Payette river, was both beautiful and treacherous. The friends took turns making the run between Boise and McCall to see who could ride it in the fastest time.

Cole did not come from a rich family and worked hard at the local motorcycle shop for what he had. Brett was a spoiled rich kid that had the ability to buy anything. The one thing he couldn't buy was the athletic ability to beat Cole in this run for local fame.

Brett's obsession to be the best and step out of Coles shadow leads to the death of Cole's best friend Jason during a ride. Torn and distraught Cole feels responsible for pushing Jason to beat Brett. Believing the Brett killed Jason on purpose Cole realizes that Brett's riding had become a dangerous obsession, and that he had no realization for the pure love of riding, Cole leaves it all behind and moves away to Texas.

Fifteen years later Cole has a twelve year old son and a wonderful wife. He has used riding to help teach his son life's lessons. Cole has decided to come back to Boise and show his son the town where he was raised and to share some of his childhood memories with him.

Upon returning he finds that his name still holds a mystique of respect with the local extreme athletes, both young and old. It is a legacy that has haunted Brett for years. With much more advanced superbikes, Brett now holds the record for the run from Boise to McCall, but the locals always remind him, "You never beat Cole". Brett's obsession, 15 years later, to be the best, has twisted his mind to the point of ridiculous justification and rage. Word quickly spreads Cole is back in town.

Now back home Cole is greeted with much love from his old friends and to his surprise and confusion respect from the younger extreme athletes in the area.

When Cole's friends take him to Club Adrenaline, a local hangout for all extreme athletes, Brett shows up with his crew of punks and 30 year old delinquents. Cole has no desire to dig up the past. When Brett tries to punk him out in front of everyone to get him to race he won't be bothered by the juvenile ploy.

Brett realizes his opportunity to beat Cole and silence the mystique around his legacy is walking out the door. What happens next reminds Cole of the incredible lack of reality that revolves in Brett's twisted mind. A ridiculous series of events that can only be envisioned in the mind of a madman force Cole back in the game. With his family's life at stake, he is forced to make the ride. Cole must use his abilities and adrenaline to do the unthinkable. Only Cole can save his family. Only Coles son, repeating the words that Cole has taught him, can possibly save Coles life. Cole must "Ride to Live".
