Couldn't kill Sergeant Smithers unwanted Bigshot

Guest star Michael Maloney does a excellent performance as Ryan Jones: the man who's on the run after seemingly murdered his wife Connie (after Smithers made a revolting remark about Ryan stalking a prostitute to his wife), before personally holding Smithy (just this once call him) responsible for ruining his life. Smithers doesn't at all regret it.

Another episode where bigshot sergeant Smithers is failed to get killed, not by Ryan Jones, not Jules Ellis bloke from "Fatal Consequences" episode, or Pete Larson (he had Smithers, temporarily, in prison for murder of wife Louise failed to kill Smithers after abducting him prior then) or gunman Jake Quinn in school siege where Gina resigns.
