"Kick me down" tells the story of a dysfunctional family and a man's love for his brother's wife. In the beginning I found it quite hard to find access to the plot, since the characters behave in strange manners. After a while nonetheless, the movie begins to provide you with some more background information and you start to understand some of the character's relationships a bit better.
Even though you can tell that the movie didn't have a high budget and there are some negative points, like the missing last consequence to make the characters even more multi-dimensional, there are quite a few things this film makes right. It doesn't provide you with a simple story-line or a simple solution to the complex problems it tells. I especially liked the open end, since it somehow prevents the audience from drawing an obvious moral and raises even more questions.
There are surely better movies than this one, a few even depicting similar stories, but you can see that the producers put some heart and effort into this piece and I appreciate that.
