The Cooper's ready themselves for Sydney's custody hearing. Josh picks up Cassie at the police station. Marina brought her in for setting outside of the Spaulding estate in her car. Marina lets Josh know that Cassie has been seen repeatedly there since Tammy's death. Tammy once again appears to her mother and she, again, tells Cassie that she must let her go. Ava helps calm Coop's nerves about the hearing. Later, Ava puts Alan-Michael on the stop with an impromptu press conference and Alan-Michael is impressed with Ava's resourcefulness. Billy provides Josh a sounding board for the troubles he's been experiencing keeping the family together. He tells her that he got Felicia to meet with Cassie and he believes the therapy helped. Felicia told Cassie that her feelings are natural and, possibly, helpful in her dealing with her grief. Cassie takes the first steps in letting Tammy go for good by donating a box of clothing to Cedar's Winter Clothes Drive. Josh tells her that was the bravest thing he had ever seen her do. Things go rather smoothly for Harley and Gus at the custody hearing, despite Judge Green's dislike of the both of them, until Daisy has to testify on their behalf. Judge Green takes issue with the fact that Harley gave Daisy up for adoption when she was born. This angers Buzz and Harley informs the judge that if anything, she made a very adult decision when she was a young woman by deciding to give Daisy up for adoption. Daisy informs the court that Harley has always been there for her when she needed her. Sydney's biological father's attorney asks Daisy if Harley truly was the woman that helped Daisy become the type of person she is. Daisy answers in the affirmative and Donovan presents the court with evidence that Daisy had a personal relationship with Gillespie, the man who was involved in Tammy's death. This news shocks everyone in the courtroom except for Gus, who knew Daisy's secret!
