As students across the country head back to school, a new class of fifth-graders are introduced on ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A 5TH GRADER?. Supermodel Kathy Ireland and the State Superintendent from Georgia attempt to graduate toward the top prize of $1 million in this atypical quiz show that tests adults' lack of knowledge as revealed by how much they've forgotten since elementary school. These notable contestants find themselves in a classroom setting, revisiting their youth, as they tackle subjects ranging from art to geography and math to social studies. Players are not alone, however; there is a way for them to "cheat" in this classroom. The adults have the opportunity to get help from real grade-schoolers who will offer what they think is the correct a-n-s-w-e-r./n
