Mr Klein is a money lender, and a successful and ruthless one at that. After offering a client a poor deal, he himself is approached by a man offering him a deal that is too good to be true, gold at a substantially reduced price. Klein is known to Cork, and when he explains his story, Cork doesn't believe his hard work.
I thoroughly enjoyed this series finale, very good story telling, good acting, and the regulars getting plenty to do.
Marriott has spent the whole first episode on probation, that element was funny, with Cork constantly telling him he'd enjoyed his time working with him. Cork is truly the standout, great scene where he confronts his boss, and then another where he meets the Russian woman.
Derek Francis is good in the role, a well known face from the sixties and seventies, he has the balance of drama and humour right, even if his character is a little over the top.
I've thoroughly enjoyed the first series, and this is one of the best offerings. 8/10
