Eoh-neu-nal-gap-ja-gi D-Day (2006)

Warning: Spoilers
Girls go to a school that helps them prepare for collage exams. The girls that are attending the school didn't do well at the exams at the first place so they are all closed their studying and studying and studying and studying… Only the idea of being locked up in some place for so many days gives me the creeps… So in this school they are trying to make you better and help you get in to a collage. For a year you have no personal life, no free time no nothing; you only have time for studying. They are trying to turn you in to some kind of a robot. So creepy… and on top of that the school is haunted!

It is an interesting and unsettling story without the ghosts. The ghosts seem to be unnecessary to the plot, but in the other hand is an interesting bonus. You could have two different stories in a way, but you have two in one!

It's a nice story with interesting plot and pretty good characters. It also gives you the sense of no escape in a hall new interesting way. History tends to repeat itself. It's a circle which you can not escape!

Ultimately Disappointing
Billy_Crash26 January 2010
What "D-Day" ("My Bloody Roommates") had in the first and second act, sadly fell apart in the final act.

This Korean ghost story had a decent, if not slightly over-the-top premise, as well as some good characters to follow. Most of the story was psychological-based, which is perfectly fine, but the payoff was disappointing.

Granted, the disappointment may not have been in how the story was written, but how those climactic scenes were shot. During that all important segment, the lighting crew must have been told to go on vacation. The scenes were so extremely dark, I could not follow the characters and could not see what was occurring.

Because of this mistreatment of the material at story's end, I can only give the movie five stars.

Classic Horror Movie Plot
magnadoodle6669 July 2007
Warning: Spoilers
We follow the story of a bunch of girls who attend a private school with strict discipline. The school is haunted by a fire that took place 3 years ago and that killed all the students. Strange patches drip blood from the ceiling and some girls are witness to scary phantomatic apparitions of former students. The tension builds up as the girls get closer to their final exam. Will history repeat itself? The movie is fairly low budget. The actors are fine, but nothing extraordinary and the whole thing drips of horror movie clichés. There is no comic relief and character development is weak. As there is no main character, it's a bit hard to get emotionally involved. Overall, it's unoriginal, but still creepy.

very good film, and adorable actors
baileyandflipper31 December 2006
for youth in asia, especially east asia, this is a well-understood topic - counting down to SAT.

Very good film, simple yet powerful. It reminds me of my high-school time, and my friends. Geeks, rebellions, averages and excellent girls. The four main actresses are all adorable. Their performance is very convincing. It's also great that they didn't try to make every girl perfectly beautiful, just natural.

Some of the details are not making perfect sense, but ignorable. I believe the psychological transition of the leading girl could have been shown more. Also, there's not exactly a leading character here, maybe a good thing, coz all the girls are truly equally likable.

Don't take other's word for it.

i found this movie to be absolutely intense, dark and interesting,

don't listen to the bad reviews, its just that not many have seen it and rated it,

it deserves a 7.5,creepy althroughout and ending is just superb, nail biting stuff.

if you like Asian horror, and if you can take unrelentingly intense film,go for it

you may keep in mind this is not typical gore fest or will be relying on shock value alone, this movie does so much more, the psychological part of the film is more gruesome, horror in this flick works on this level rather take a cheap way out like what the Hollywood is doing, and calling films like saw/hostel/midnight's mid train a horror film when what you are catered is pure gore and twisted sick bloody fest, although that has its own value as well this movie rather takes the subtler road.

watch it alone,at night,lights off
