Trama

Ariel befriends a deaf mermaid named Gabriela, and both of them decide to seek out the magical Wishing Starfish to make their dreams come true.

Ariel goes to the surface, gets washed ashore a bit, sends Sebastian into a house, and eventually a wave washes a ballerina music box into the sea. Ariel also sees a girl ballet dance onto the pier, and suddenly Ariel wants two tails, to be able to dance like the ballerina. Ariel soon meets up with a deaf & mute mermaid named Gabriella and her octopus friend/translator, who are trying to find the magic starfish because Gabriella wants to be able to sing like Ariel. Through a number of adventures, Ariel and Gabriella and friends each the magic starfish, who attempts to grant them their wishes. Still though the starfish's powers are non-existant, to the disappointment of especially Gabriella. Still though eventually Ariel and Gabriella take it in stride and decide to appreciate their own talents, being able to sing and dance n their own unique ways.

(The interesting thing was that both of those wishes were facets to what Ariel lost to gain in the movie, when she used Ursula to grant her wishes to be human.)
