Double D Becomes the School Bully!
ShelbyTMItchell11 April 2013
Warning: Spoilers
Unexpectedly Double D becomes the school bully. But they are all accidents. As he drops something on one of the Kanker sisters feet. As he also throws pencils next to Rolf like they were knives.

But Eddy takes great pleasure for yet another money making opportunity. As he takes expense at Double D aka Edd of being the so-called bully. As he hurts another Kanker and gets Johnny after he drops his lunch to compromise to another Kanker sister.

Everybody is afraid of him, even the real bully of the show Kevin. But it takes Jimmy a weak kid like Double D to restore his good name back? Can he before he becomes the school bully for good?! Love the show and one of the very few episodes I can watch all over again and again!

A few things wrong with this episode... but so much right with it. Warning: Spoilers
Sometimes you cause a scene when you don't mean to, and the situation escalates, and you're ostracized for it. That's what poor Edd went through in this episode. All through the episode the kids fear him for causing terrible accidents and pin everything on him- granted, Edd himself has in the past been guilty of brushing blame off of himself but in this episode he did not come to school to make enemies. How do the kids not know it's an accident when it's right in front of their faces? That's one of the episode's biggest plot holes. Sure, they tend to punish Edd disproportionately sometimes, but other times he's the only one of the Eds whom they treat with anything resembling respect. The other is that, probably because of the show's minimalist cast, Edd doesn't tell his parents or teachers his side of the story. The only person he talks to about it is Jimmy. But Edd's parents probably won't understand. After all, it's implied that, despite the fact that they're shown to be far better parents than Ed's and Eddy's, they're the ones who forced him to play the steel guitar, an instrument he hates and yet is excellent at. And in my experience, some school systems haven't exactly been competent. The ending has one of the series' finest moments... from Eddy. Yes, sometimes he can be callous and here he's shown pushing misinformation about poor innocent Edd all through the episode, but time and time again he shows he cares about his friends. You'll be shocked at how much you like him sometimes. And Ed shows a protective instinct towards Sarah. He may be dumb but he has a good heart underneath. The episode's dramatic moments are made worth watching by the animators, who produce some astonishingly fluid work with unique expressions and character acting. Whoever animated Edd in the topiary therapist's couch deserves some special attention, especially when the boy makes some slightly elaborate hand gestures. The voice actors are all amazing but a special mention goes to Keenan Christensen, who shows a ton of emotional range as Jimmy.
