This movie won the Best Short Film Award @ South Asian International Film Festival @ Lincoln Center in NYC on October 8, 2006 on the 1 year anniversary of the Earthquake in Northern Pakistan in Kashmir.
I lived in the refugee camps and was inspired by the pursuit and resilience of the children living in the camps. Their need to express themselves and psychologically recover from this devastating event, inspired me to bring art supplies in the refugee camps and teach them how to paint. Documenting their families lives and experiences taught me many great things and inspired me to make this film.
