Personally, I'd have left Alan in the crapper and taken both girls home. Just as much comedy gold there, and there could still be an easy hook to Alan's stash.

Charlie gets very angry with Alan who has a history of playing him for a fool when it comes to paying for things like restaurants and movies. It culminates when Charlie finds that Alan has a hidden stash of cash.
