Superb episode once again creates an eerie mood around the familiar legend of the Loch Ness monster of Scotland, reputed to have been sighted in the loch for centuries, but only with the recent advent of photography and cameras has any documented evidence been found, though of course skeptics find ways to doubt that as well! Eyewitness accounts are interesting, and use of pictures, music, and nautical sound effects is extremely effective. Will resonate in particular with those of Scottish descent, who grew up with this tale. Of note that, although broadcast twentieth, this seems to have been filmed first(Nimoy's intro is a giveaway), though why such a long delay in airing is unknown.

In Search Of... "The Loch Ness Monsters (1977)
It should come as no shock that one of the biggest and most mysterious monsters would make for one of the better episodes in the series. We're taken to the legendary Loch Ness Lake where we learn about various sightings including one eyewitness account. We also take a look at the photo evidence and there's a National Geographic team on hand who are searching the lake for evidence. You can only judge this series for when it was made because, all these years later, we know that there still hasn't been anything caught. Technology in 1977 wasn't what it is today so that's another thing to keep in mind. With all of that said, there's no question that this is a good episode that will hold your attention throughout. The photo evidence is good and the interviews are also very nice.

Why do people continue to search for a prehistoric monster that no longer exist? When people "claim" to have only seen one of them then where is another for them to produce little ones?!? Honestly in my opinion I think everyone is just seeing a massive huge fish that lurks at the very bottom of the lake, the Loch Ness monster died a LONG time ago and that's the end of that story so everyone needs to give up and move on with their lives. There is literally no proof of it still living this very day but if there is please point me to that direction so I can be proven wrong and keep my mouth shut!
