“Frasier” Cast: What Are They Doing in 2025?
Image
Not many shows have left a lasting impact in TV history as Frasier did. The NBC sitcom aired from 1993 until 2004, and while it was a spinoff of Cheers, it became so much more. The series had sharp dialogue, smart humor, and the perfect cast one could imagine, which earned the show a record-breaking 37 Emmy Awards during its original run.

As the Frasier reboot began airing on Paramount+ in 2023 and continued with the second season in 2024, fans are curious about what the original cast members are up to these days. Some have come back to their favorite roles, while others have taken other different directions. Let’s take a look at what the main cast of Frasier is doing these days.

The 30 Best TV Shows On Paramount+ (January 2025)
Image
Paramount+ is known for hosting some of the best TV shows on any streaming platform, and in January 2025, the lineup remains just as strong as ever. The first month of 2025 sees the arrival of the original Matlock TV series as it joins the new Kathy Bates reboot. This classic courtroom drama, starring Andy Griffith, includes all nine seasons. Sci-fi fans get a treat in January, as the new Star Trek series Section 31 premieres on January 24. Michelle Yeoh reprises her role as Emperor Philippa Georgiou from Star Trek: Discovery.

The biggest news coming in December was that Paramount+ is removing several TV shows from its streaming service. This isn't anything new since both Paramount and Showtime removed several shows last year. The streaming service axed several Nickelodeon shows, including Doug, Blue's Room, Kung-Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness, Fanboy & Chum Chum, The Penguins of Madagascar, Big Time Rush, and Breadwinners (via Us Weekly). Classic Nickelodeon Shows Such as 'Doug', 'Kung Fu Panda' & More Removed from Paramount+
Image
Paramount+’s latest purge of content is ruining childhoods, as a substantial number of Nickelodeon shows have or will soon be removed from the platform. While many have become used to discovering old titles such as Doug, Big Time Rush, My Life as a Teenage Robot, Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness, and The Penguins of Madagascar on Paramount+, the decision to remove these and more titles has left many feeling like their ability to relive their childhoods in a nostalgic moment is being abruptly taken away.

Other affected shows include Breadwinners, Game Shakers, House of Anubis, Wonder Pets, Alvinnn!!! and the Chipmunks, Fanboy & Chum Chum, Sanjay & Craig, and Welcome to the Wayne, with the removals drawing a strong reaction from people who grew up with some of these programs. With streamers constantly handing off content from one platform to another, fans have vented their frustration at shows and...

'Doug,' other kids titles pulled from Paramount+ in latest purge
Image
The streamer is doing a little housekeeping ahead of the new year, to the chagrin of kids and nostalgic adults.

Paramount has decided not to wait until spring to get a little spring cleaning done. Specifically, the company has undertaken a new round of content removals from its streamer Paramount+, and like previous culls this batch of pulled titles is heavily affecting kids and families. It’s all in the name of lowering backend streaming costs, but that’s of little comfort to customers who might be seeing their favorite titles removed.

Key Details: Arguably the most well-known title removed from Paramount+ is the 1990s cartoon “Doug.” Movies from the “Kung Fu Panda” and “Madagascar” franchise have also been pulled. Paramount+ could see more content removals as its parent company continues a merger with Skydance Media. 7-Day Free Trial $7.99+ / month paramountplus.com

Image
Paramount+ is removing Nickelodeon titles from its library, including some big properties like Doug, Blue’s Room, and Big Time Rush.

December has seen Doug being taken off the streamer. The animated series premiered in 1991 on Nickelodeon and ran for four seasons. Doug was one of the earliest titles of the “Nicktoons” in the 1990s, which would later include shows like Rugrats, The Ren & Stimpy Show, Rocko’s Modern Life, Aaahh!! Real Monsters, Hey Arnold! and more.

Other titles purged from Paramount+ include My Life As A Teenage Robot and shows based on DreamWorks Animation films like Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness and The Penguins of Madagascar.

AwesomenessTV, Breadwinners, Game Shakers, House of Anubis, Let’s Just Play: Go Healthy Challenge, Welcome to the Wayne, Wonder Pets, and Zoofari were also removed from Paramount+.

More recently, Paramount+ users have reported other titles being taken off the streamer like Alvinnn!!! and the Chipmunks,...

Paramount+ Has Removed Several Nickelodeon Shows From the Platform
Image
Those who have cut cable and relied on streaming to watch Nickelodeon shows will have to find another source, as Paramount+ has removed several major titles from the platform. ComicBook reports that some of the shows can be found on other services, but others will be harder to find.

Among the more popular Nickelodeon series removed from Paramount+ are Doug and My Life as a Teenage Robot. Doug was one of the very first “Nicktoons” ever, running from 1991 to 1994. Additionally, by the end of 2024, shows based on movie franchises like Kung Fu Panda and Madagascar will be taken down from Paramount+. For now, the Kung Fu Panda movie franchise can be streamed on various platforms and the original Madagascar movie can be found on Hulu.

Madagascar did a wonderful job of introducing new characters that expanded the pop culture legacy of DreamWorks Animation. But one of the best things to come out of the movie directed by Eric Darnell and Tom McGrath was the eventual development of The Penguins of Madagascar. The spinoff took the lovable gang of secret agents and turned them into the protagonists of their own adventure. And now, more than a decade after the project made its way to the big screen, The Penguins of Madagascar has found plenty of success on Freevee.

Madagascar 4: If It Will Happen, Why It Hasn't & Everything We Know
Image
Despite the success of the previous movies, Madagascar 4 has yet to materialize due to a lack of recent news and updates from DreamWorks Animation. A feud between Chris Rock and Jada Pinkett Smith, who voice characters in the franchise, may have halted development on Madagascar 4. While Madagascar 4 is not confirmed and there is no release date, there have been hints at a possible story that could involve the animals returning to Africa. The long break between movies could allow for an emotionally impactful and mature storyline.

Despite the last movie being the most successful in the franchise to date, Madagascar 4 still hasn't happened - here's all the recent Madagascar 4 news. The original Madagascar arrived in 2005 and told the story of four pampered Central Park Zoo animals who find themselves shipwrecked on Madagascar and have to tap into their inner instincts to survive, and it became a sizable hit. Explaining Rick & Morty's Voice Change Actually Isn't A Big Deal
Image
A debate has been brewing over how Rick and Morty will explain its big voice change in season 7, but it's actually not that big of a deal. Rick and Morty season 7 will feature a voice actor switch for the titular duo, causing many theories to pop up regarding how the show will address the character's new voices. However, this speculation really doesn't need to happen, as Rick and Morty season 7 probably won't have to explain the voice change at all.

Rick and Morty co-creator and voice actor Justin Roiland has been fired by Adult Swim due to Roiland being charged with domestic battery and false imprisonment. Besides creating and writing the show, Roiland also voices Rick, Morty, and a plethora of other characters throughout the show's first six seasons. Surprisingly, Rick and Morty will continue without Roiland, with the titular roles being recast. However, while there is a dramatic change up behind the scenes,...

Box office preview: ‘Minions: The Rise of Gru’ hopes for victory over 4th of July weekend
Image
With the 4th of July taking place on Monday, Universal is using the holiday weekend and the fact that school are out across the country to release the latest installment of its most popular animated franchise. “Minions: The Rise of Gru” is a prequel to the “Despicable Me” movies but also a sequel to 2015’s hit prequel “Minions,” which showed how the lovable evil henchmen came into being. “Rise of Gru” shows the early days of the Minions working with the villainous Gru as a child, once again voiced by Steve Carell. Read on for our box office preview.

Gru was introduced all the way back in 2010 in “Despicable Me,” one of the early collaborations between Universal and animation house Illumination Entertainment. It opened with 56.4 million in the weekend following 4th of July, and it went on to gross 251.5 million domestically and made about that same amount overseas. Three years later,...

Emmy Predictions: Best Animated Program — Another Close Race, Another Surprise Winner?
Image
Last Year’s Winner: “Rick and Morty”

Still Eligible: No.

Hot Streak: The Best Animated Program category hasn’t seen a repeat winner since the category was divided into “One Hour or Less” and “More Than One Hour” divisions, and “South Park” took home the latter prize in 2008 (for its “Imaginationland” episodes) and the former in 2009 (for “Margaritaville”). That being said, “Rick and Morty” has won both times it was nominated (in 2018 and 2020), so one could argue it’s a dominant force whenever it’s eligible.

Fun Fact: “The Simpsons” and “South Park” are the only two programs to win more than two trophies in this category. The iconic Fox series has 11 wins (most recently in 2019) while Comedy Central’s landmark program has five wins (with the last coming in 2013). With one more win, still-active shows like “Bob’s Burgers” and “Rick and Morty” could become the third to join these elite ranks.

Netflix Orders an Animated Fast & Furious Spinoff Series From DreamWorks Animation
Netflix has announced that they will be producing a Fast & Furious animated series that will be developed by DreamWorks Animation Television. Out of all of the animated series that could have been announced, I wasn't expecting this!

The series will center around Tony Toretto, and he will follow "in the footsteps of his cousin Dom when he and his friends are recruited by a government agency to infiltrate an elite racing league serving as a front for a nefarious crime organization bent on world domination."

It sounds like it could be fun. Netflix has actually put out some decent animated content, so I'll be hoping for the best. The series will be produced by Tim Hedrick, who wrote for DreamWorks’ Voltron: Legendary Defender series, and Bret Haaland, who has produced DreamWorks’ animated shows like All Hail King Julien and The Penguins of Madagascar. They will also both serve as showrunners.

Blood Punch Review
What happens when two children’s entertainment scribes (boasting credits such as The Tigger Movie, The Penguins Of Madagascar, Peter Rabbit, and Kim Possible) collaborate on their first feature film? Obviously you get a kid friendly movie titled Blood Punch, filled with death, guts, murder, betrayal – wait, what? You heard right. Director Madellaine Paxson and writer Eddie Guzelian are ditching all that warm and fuzzy bullshit to bring you their own twisted fairy tale about three rowdy criminals forced to repeat the same deadly day over and over again. It’s like kind of like Groundhog Day – a vile, wicked, royally f#cked up Groundhog Day your mum certainly wouldn’t approve of.

It all starts when Milton (Milo Cawthorne), a shy chemistry wiz, meets Skyler (Olivia Tennet), a criminal looking for the best meth cook she can find. After meeting in Milton’s rehab clinic (where else would you find the best junkies?...

Watch: The First Full Trailer For ‘Kung Fu Panda 3’
The narrative of recent months: DreamWorks Animation, which has gone through restructuring, has been hemorrhaging money. They posted a $247.7 million loss for Q4 2014 and generally things have been looking dismal. But one has to wonder who is mismanaging the company. They have the “Shrek” series which is the highest grossing animated franchise of all time ($3.5 billion and counting presuming they’ll make more spin-offs), the “Madagascar” series ($2.2 billion), and “How To Train Your Dragon” ($1.1 billion). They’ve just had too many pricey flops in the interim, “The Penguins Of Madagascar” being one of them. But with the modest success of “Home” and a third “Kung Fu Panda” film on the way, they’re hoping to turn their ship around. Here’s the official synopsis for “Kung Fu Panda 3”: When Po’s long-lost panda father suddenly reappears, the reunited duo travels to a secret panda paradise to meet scores of hilarious new panda characters.

Review: DreamWorks Animation's 'Home' Starring Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez And Jim Parsons
DreamWorks Animation, as a company, is poised at a precarious juncture. The animation studio, founded by former Disney exec Jeffrey Katzenberg and, at one point, a genuine challenger to their throne, has been crippled by a string of financial disappointments which have led to a dramatic corporate restructuring, consolidation of efforts. There is talk that, if things continue like they have, insolvency by 2019 will ensue. Last year Dwa released three movies. This year, they're releasing one – "Home." This was a film that was supposed to open last fall, but at the last minute Katzenberg swapped its release with "The Penguins of Madagascar," hungry for a fourth quarter smash. That didn't happen and now, justly or not, "Home" carries the weight of an entire studio on its back. But if DreamWorks Animation is hoping to get back on track with this movie, a lavish sci-fi comedy based on a recent children's book,...

Dreamworks Animation Lost An Insane Amount Of Money In Their Fourth Quarter
Back in 2013, the release of Dreamworks Animation's Rise Of The Guardians was met with a thud and a crack in its opening weekend. While the film wound up managing to make a decent gross, compared to its budget at least, it wound up being the beginning of a dangerous spiral for Dwa's profit margin. As time went on and films like Mr. Peabody And Sherman continued to make profits, yet still lead to write downs, it looked like the studio couldn't do anything to bring itself back from the edge. Looking at the real numbers of the situation, it's not a pretty picture for the studio that gave birth to Shrek. And the final quarter of last year was particularly rough. Variety has issued a report detailing the big hit that the studio took after their last film, The Penguins Of Madagascar, and the number is a very uncool...
