Whether you like to rock or not, you'll have fun with this!!!

Im not the hugest fan of rock music but i didn't have to be to enjoy the challenging , all thrashing, all strumming fun of guitar heroes 2.

The aim of the game is to use the games guitar controller and hit the peripherals buttons in time with the rhythm of the song on screen . Sounds simple ? Well it is in principle but in practice its a different story: you'll be working your fingers to the bone in attempt to be a gaming rock god and hopefully get that elusive 5 star review ! Music wise there's selection of songs to please even the most demanding guitar enthusiast . Fast , slow, hard , soft , there are all kind of songs to try out , including jams from the likes of alice in chains, rage against the machine, sting, guns and roses and more .

Whether you like to raaaaaaaaaaaaaawk or not, you'll enjoys hours of addictive rhythm action with guitar heroes 2. I know i did.

I'm a Guitar Hero! Are you?!?!

Once again, Guitar Hero II is a flawless game just like the original! I think not just hard-rockers should get this game, but EVERYONE must get this game! To show what REAL music is all about!

Just like the first one, you're a guitarist in a rock band that tries to reach the top (again, but who's complaining?) with some interesting and kick-ass obstacles on the way! In this new one, they add in a lot of special features like Cooperative mode (you and your partner chooses who would play bass, guitar, lead guitar, or rhythm guitar) is pretty much the most coolest mode in multi-player. What they also have during your career mode is an "encore" (fans what to hear more of you so you play another song that is not from the original play-list but you make big money from it). And finally, of course, they got a great soundtrack from recognizable groups like Alice In Chains, Nirvana, Black Sabbath (again!), Stone Temple Pilots, Megadeth (again!), Lynyrd Skynrd, KISS, Van Halen and so many others!

Another cool thing about this game is that its compatible with the first Guitar Hero controller and i thought that was pretty cool so I don't need to spend another one, but the new one does look very nice though. It's just the same guitar but a different color.

The only thing that I was totally bummed about was that Graveyard BBQ wasn't in this one because of some lame argument with Harmonix but whatever. Graveyard BBQ Rules! In conclusion, go out there, get the game, and ROCK 'N' ROLL ALL NIGHT AND PARTY EVERYDAY, HEROES!!!!

Fun Fun Fun!

Well, this certainly is a VERY fun game! If you're tired of your shoot 'em ups, racing, sports or platform games, then give this one a whirl...it's sooo different to anything else out there. The whole idea of using a guitar and NOT the controller is probably the best part. Being a young whipper snapper, I haven't heard of a lot of the songs that are on this game, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy playing them. Each of these songs have really good solo pieces in them that are so much fun to play...well, if you can play them that is! lol.

There are 4 different difficulty settings for this game; Easy, Medium, Hard and Expert. I am currently trying to complete the Medium difficulty having completed the Easy one with 5/5 stars for all 35 songs. Once you're in Medium, you really do start to see a difference in difficulty. I'm female, so my hands aren't that big, and I do sometimes struggle to hit all the notes, especially when i'm using my little finger and it's moving faster than it ever has done before! I have had a sneaky go at some of the songs on Expert and Hard, and I don;t think i'm going to even attempt to try them. They look impossible, but I suppose if you have the patience, and you're hardcore, then those difficulties are your sort of thing! As a whole, it's a simple game; just hitting notes as they appear on the screen, making the song sound awesome. But believe me, this game is not as easy as it looks...but it as fun as it looks :)
