A favor for Ron gets very complicated for Jonas and Bob; back at home, Tiffy's guilt causes her to take responsibility for another's accident with potentially devastating consequences.A favor for Ron gets very complicated for Jonas and Bob; back at home, Tiffy's guilt causes her to take responsibility for another's accident with potentially devastating consequences.A favor for Ron gets very complicated for Jonas and Bob; back at home, Tiffy's guilt causes her to take responsibility for another's accident with potentially devastating consequences.

I don't think the show is intended as an idealized view of life. The fact of the matter is that people lie constantly, and when it comes to the Wives Of The Unit, lying is a way of life just in the name of security.
Mrs. Ryan's view of the law is, IMHO, sadly all too accurate.
And when it comes to a mission, whether it's one that's been assigned or one that's been taken on voluntarily, the Honor lies in completing the Mission. To quote a character in the movie Ice Station Zebra, "I know how to wreck them (submarines), and I know how to lie, steal, kidnap, counterfeit, suborn and kill. That's my job. I do it with great pride."

One thing that is consistent - one of the few negatives in this fine TV show - is how often the women in here lie. They always, of course, have a rationalization for their lying and many times the show's writers seem to make it sound like it's okay...that the end justifies the means. Here, we see it early on as "Tiffy" (Abby Brammell) covers for the "Charlotte Ryan" (Rebecca Pidgeon), who nearly cracks her car up because she's out of it on morphine pills.
The "action" story involves Jonas doing a favor for an old friend, "Ron Cheals," whom we've met before, by going in and taking his daughter out of some cult. The wife of the friend is along to help with her daughter but loses her cool and kills the cult leader, creating a mess. In a nutshell, Cheals (Michael O'Neill) lies to the cops and, of course, more problems ensue.
This episode was filled with all these supposed honorable people - the men as well as the women - lying their butts off. The worst wound up being Colonel Ryan's wife who, up to this point in the show this year, had been shown as a good person. Her outlook on "the law" is despicable and sick. At least everyone had to sweat things out quite a bit for all their transgressions but a lot of stuff was left up in the air!.
Up until now this show, unlike the first year, had cleaned itself up, morals-wise, so I was sorry to see all this baloney. This left a bad taste, believe me. I hope this episode is an aberration for the second season. So far, it's the first bad one, so I'm not complaining.

- TriviaWhen Ron wheels back into the motel room after speaking with the officer, the outline of his microphone is visible under his undershirt.
- GoofsBrown, Blane, and Maritza invade Angelli's compound to retrieve her daughter. Inside the mansion, Brown uses a rear naked choke on the guard posted at the monitor station. In reality this choke would only incapacitate the guard for a few seconds if properly applied. If held too long, it would cause permanent brain damage or death (which Blane and Brown were trying to avoid), but this would be the only way the guard would remain out of action the entire time.
