The house believed to belong to David Wallace by Dwight and Michael is not in fact the Wallace house. There are several indicators to this: the Wallace house has a completely different entry way; the Wallaces are never shown to have a dog; and the welcome mat has an 'M' (or 'F') instead of a 'W.'
Dunder Mifflin's CFO David Wallace's house is shown many times on the series. In this initial showing, the welcome mat has a large letter F initialed in the center, but neither David nor his wife Rachel have a letter F in their name.
Throughout the episode everyone is wearing heavy coats or trench coats even though Michael's car's dashboard says the outside temperature is 87°-- a reminder that The Office is filmed in California.
When Jim and Jan are in Josh's office, Jan leaves angrily and says, as she passes Jim Halpert, "Excuse me, John." John Krasinski plays Jim Halpert in the show, so she accidentally called him by his real name.
When Michael and Dwight prepare to meet with David Wallace, Michael states that 15 people will be out of work. At the time, only 13 people work in that branch's office, some of whom will be kept on. However, it has been shown repeatedly that Michael is very bad with numbers.
