There is no way Abby would have been the one to be lowered down to the accident scene as she has had no training for this type of rescue. One of the men would have been lowered in tandem with her at least but most likely the helicopter would have landed on the road even if they had to land farther down the road to do it safely.
There is no way the helicopter would have been called to the bus crash when they already had an MI patient on board as the family of that patient could easily use the appeared delay in care as a reason to sue for her death even though they had been told by Abby that she most likely would never survive the flight. They wouldn't even be in the area if they actually went where they were supposed to be and straight back to the hospital.
The helicopter lowers Abby into an area with dry scrub brush and Ponderosa pine trees. There are no landscapes like this within 1,000 miles of Chicago (obviously filmed in southern California).
There are no deep gorges in or around Neosho, Wisconsin. It is a relatively flat area.
There is absolutely no reason that a rescue helicopter from Chicago would fly over 100 miles to central Wisconsin when there is a Level One trauma center in Milwaukee (Froedtert Hospital) only 30 miles away.
