Fantastic!

I was a little redundant before and even at the beginning of this movie. I read all these comments around here, and I was actually quite skeptical about the possible quality of a film starring an ex playmate and quite a large numbers of newcomers in this business. And I was not wrong, this ex playmate, even though one of the most beautiful woman around here, is one of the worst actresses I've ever seen.

I've also never seen before a film starting so badly and ending so different than I was expecting. And I'm not talking about the storyline, which is actually quite predictable. It has many good ideas, and I'm almost certain you'll learn something by spending two hours to watch it. Plus, it's the debut movie for this nice Corina lady, that I've never heard before, and except for a couple of scenes where she really blew it, I must say I was pretty impressed. She's gonna be a good actress, I'm sure about it.

I strongly suggest you to go see it.

Worst Romanian movie ever

I have never seen suck a horrible movie in my entire life. The script is pathetic; the director is a fraud (at least takes scenes from the best - Emir Kusturica), the actors … sorry … some individuals pretending to act (shame on you Maia for your brief appearance in this junk). I am very disappointed. I have expected more and instead found just another post 1989 movie: no story or acting but lots of scenes with violence, sex, abuse and, above all, very bad taste. I think the director thought that if he brings together a beautiful woman (Cristina Cioran) and a playmate (Gina Pistol) most of the male audience would forget about everything else. Well… we can see Cristina every day on TV and from Gina … we've already seen everything.

Probably the best Romanian movie ever
barbosu20015 November 2006
I was surprised to see that good movies are made in Romania, with Romanian actors, and romanian writers.

The movie has a complex story with many characters. It has many scenes with sexual orientation, and very dirty language, but is funny.

But it has a sad part,at the funerals of the main character mother. It has some parts filled with ''caterinca'' ( caterinca = jokes ).

The movie is about a woman ( Margo ) who is forced by her step-father to practice prostitution.

Margo friends are also parachutes.

I already recommended this movie to all my friends ! Is great ! A must see Romanian masterpiece.

Waste of time

Well, I just wasted 90 minutes of my life to watch such a fake. No subject, no emotion, no act. Pity for the great actress Maia that she accepted to play in this fiasco. There are a lot of good Romanian actors, why did this Director (Carmazan) make a "movie" with pseudo - players for the main roles? Gina Pistol? You can't be serious. Anybody can see all her talent just watching Playboy - Romanian edition! Is like you'd see a movie with Erika Eleniak. Cristina Cioran - very talented in teaching people how to cook (in a TV show); nothing else. Please take my advice: don't waste your time with this crap; you could give it as a "gift" to a person who you really don't like. Good-luck!

Margo - from the basics of Human Heart

Romania has good movies. And "Margo" is a living proof! This movie is about a poor girl that has to live a secret life being a prostitute and in the same time pretend that everything in her life is OK in her student life. The movie begins with a good line that reveals one thing: "I have small breasts and I'm unhappy". Sugestion of the director is that many pretty girls from Romania are in the same situation as Margo. Many of them live a double life being a poor student and a prostitute. I think this movie has also a great idea, being a prostitute doesn't make you a stupid girl, doesn't make you an easy woman, doesn't make you inhuman or insensitive. Feelings, love, drama, happiness, friendship - you'll find them in this movie. Also "Margo" is played by one of the new talents of Romania actress - Cristina Cioran. She is consider the Marlyn Monroe of Romania. The secondary role is performed by Paula Chirila - she also a new hope. Enjoy the Movie!

Not the worst
gB_for_you29 December 2006
Warning: Spoilers
When i've hared about this movie i thought it has a substance script and real actors being real persons . In fact it's a lame movie.....far from presenting the real life of hookers ,which was his target. No research( a must for this kind of movie)....big budget(for a Romanian movie)... ruff language...exaggerate scenes .....a forgettable movie. Even so,the worst Romanian movie in the last 5 years remains Orient Express and Margo can't take that place. One question:why it's rated 7,2 stars??Who rated him?I'we seen great movies( American ones) which have less than that...it's strange and not fare. Stop voting just to do something.

Good but ...

Saw this movie once and still do not understand the hole story but nice atmosphere and funny funerals.Poor interpretation of the leading part Margo, liked instead the actress of supporting part Ana, a stronger appearance despite the script, the photographer- good actor and some funny guys from funerals.

Ana, friend of Margo, seems more successful and more accomplished than all female parts in the movie, especially from the central female character, a blonde prostitute, who is essentially visual, with blonde and curly hair(such a cliché),but very poor interpretation of Margo. Ana has the force of a leading character because of the stronger interpretation of an special actress (liked many scenes with her), but the part is unfortunately smaller than the potential of her story,i think.

Regarding the plot, it is anywhere but the movie who is filled with unimportant events who dilute the real story of a destroyed youth by a family pimp.

Liked also the man's part the photographer, nice figure, funny actor.

Bad - Margo, the plot&script, the casting

Good - Ana, The photographer, funny scene from funerals
