In her first acting credit, Aubrey Plaza appears as an NBC page giving a tour outside Conan O'Brien's studio. In 2005, Plaza interned with the NBC page program at Rockefeller Center, and she was cast in this episode because she still had her page uniform. Plaza revealed that when she was a page, she used to make up "facts" about Conan O'Brien to tourists.
Tracey's "I am a stabbing robot" attack on Conan O'Brien is a send-up of an infamous interview of Crispin Glover when he tried to kick David Letterman in the head. Glover was in character as Rubin Farr who'd later appear in the film Rubin & Ed (1991)
