According to his mug shot photo, Roy was arrested on June 27, 2006; about 2 weeks after he and Pam were to be married.
According to Jenna Fischer, at the end of season two the writers weren't sure what was going to happen after Jim and Pam's climactic kiss in the finale. The kiss had to be painstakingly recreated to the smallest detail, with an additional angle added to see Pam's reaction, for the conversation after the kiss in season three.
