Great little thriller -- great character actors
sprubinsf19 March 2007
I think Richard Zavaglia is one of the most underrated character actors.

Even though I love to see him on television and the big screen (Bird especially).

I hope we get to see him back on Broadway again real soon! My personal favorite was Chapter Two.

This is a great movie series on Lifetime definitely a good thriller for those looking for something other than another reality television show. I look forward to seeing the next in the Inspector Mom series. Kidnapped really held my attention.

Neighborhood Abduction Caper
lavatch19 November 2020
Warning: Spoilers
In this silly trifle, a perky mom and busy body named Maddie Monroe, puts on her thinking cap to investigate the kidnappings occurring in her neighborhood.

Maddie is also a dancer, and the action invariably returns to a local dance studio where Maddie and her pilot husband go to do the salsa, the tango, and the cha-cha. The establishment is run by the dynamic dancer Roman, who figures prominently in the caper.

The sleuth is assisted by the homicide detective Rob, as well as two other detectives. We come to know the neighbors, some of whom were victims of the kidnappers, such as the pediatrician "Doc" Korda and his wife Harriet. A false lead points to the tag team partners of Nick Cotten and Heather Douglas as the perps.

However, all roads eventually lead to the dance hall where a lively competition will take place. All in all, the film was a moderately slow paced, yet light action film with the inspector mom in the spotlight. Maddie's motto might be: "Keep your eyes open, and watch your back!"
