Thank goodness for Emily
ISmellSnow16 January 2021
If it weren't for the marvelous Kelly Bishop playing the marvelous Emily Gilmore then this episode would be a lost cause. There's no spark so far in this season. Nothing to laugh at except now, with the storyline of Emily being arrested. David and Lauren of course have really great chemistry but I absolutely hate that their characters are dating. I know we need closure and "Team Christopher" fans need to see what WOULD have been if they were end game but this is terrible.

I love that they want to introduce new friends for Rory but good grief these girls are annoying! Unfortunately they're going to stick around for the rest of the season so just get used to them.

Emily was the only good thing about this episode

Thank goodness for Kelly Bishop, Emily storyline was the only redeeming storyline in this episode. Lorelei and Christopher never should have happened.

'S Terrible

Warning: Spoilers
This episode was so dull and boring. Gilmore Girls lost their spirit. There is no witty jokes anymore. In fact there are no jokes at all. Characters are not consistent. Even acting is bad. I wish they never make season 7. The whole episode was so slow. I bored for the first time while watching Gilmore Girls. Chris and Lor are so boring. I am sure writers like to ship them while Amy Sherman-Palladino writing it but they ruined everything about them. Lorelai is not witty and funny anymore and Chris is not like he used to be. Luke's relationship with his daughter is so uninteresting. Rory's new friends are annoying. Emily was also annoying but this is not new. She just talked with phone while driving and defense this??? The only good thing about this episode that Richard became professor in Yale.

Gilmore Girls Are Back...FINALLY!!
moonsunflow19 October 2006
This episode officially marks the return of the Gilmore Girls who have been on hiatus all of the sixth season until now! Who knew Rosenthal had it in him? Certainly not I. The last few weeks have irked me somewhat because I found characters doing things that Amy Sherman-Palladino never would have had them doing, however this episode was deliciously funny. Despite many people's vehement loathing of Lorelai getting back together with Christopher, the writing is very believable. He is being romantic and wooing her at just the right pace, and who could blame her after the train wreck that became her relationship with Luke? The truth is Lauren Graham and David Sutcliffe have great chemistry. It's very believable.

Other great things: Rory is out making new girlfriends rather than sitting at home pining for Logan in London. And the icing on the cake, Emily gets arrested for mouthing off to a cop and refusing to put her mouth "on that filthy thing" (referring to a Breathalyzer of course). If that doesn't scream Gilmore Girls than Idon't know what does. The only kinda creepy thing was Luke's 13 year old daughter moving into his 1 bedroom apt. with him while her mom is away for a few weeks. Even if she is as angelic as April, it's still a bit far fetched given that she's only known her father for less than a year.

Otherwise it was funny and fresh and quirky. Who knew?
