Nikhil Dwivedi is a happy man indeed. Promo of his upcoming film Tamanchey has got a good response across board, what with a good deal of endorsement coming in from none other than Salman Khan. While that has been a good boost for the film, the very fact that he is being seen in an altogether different avtar when compared to where he started six years ago with My Name Is Anthony Gonsalves', is a big deal indeed for Nikhil who has been picking his films very carefully. Once a poet said that 'If the world was ever enveloped by darkness, I will simply tell an innocent girl to smile, for her mere smile is enough to fully illuminate the world!' We are very sure of the fact that the poet surely must have had Birthday-girl Amrita Rao (7th June’ 2009) in mind, whilst coming up with these golden words. Amrita, for starters, is what one would like to call as the apt fitting synonym to the words 'innocence' and 'purity'. Having made her debut in a forgettable flick called Ab Ke Baras, Amrita has indeed come a long way with an array of hits tucked under her belt, courtesy her superlative acting in films like Main Hoon Na, Welcome To Sajjanpur, My Name Is Anthony Gonsalves, Vivaah, Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi, Masti, Ishq Vishk, Victory etc… The success meter of her acting skills lies in the...

2008 was an eventful year for Amrita Rao. She started off with ‘My Name Is Anthony Gonsalves’ which in spite of not doing well at the box office at the least helped showcase a different (read ultra glam) side of hers. A special appearance in ‘Shaurya’ followed but the role was so small that it went relatively unnoticed. However, she bounced back with ‘Welcome To Sajjanpur’ where in her ‘gaon ki gori’ role, she went on to win hearts all over again. From a village setting, she graduated to playing a small time girl in ‘Victory’ which is now finally.

If the name Nikhil Dwivedi doesn't ring a bell, then the film name of My Name Is Anthony Gonsalves surely will, whereby he played the lead opposite the petite actress Amrita Rao. Nikhil who is currently awaiting the release of his second film, Khallballi - Fun Unlimited, has bagged the pivotal and plum role of Lakshman in Raavana, that's being directed by Mani Ratnam! Rumors are strife that Ratnam had considered lot of top rung actors for the said role, which ultimately fell in the lap of Nikhil Dwivedi. According to some of the sources, Mani Ratnam saw great potential in Nikhil, after watching My Name Is Anthony Gonsalves, and that Ratnam also flew down especially to Mumbai just before he left for a month long schedule in Orcha in MP and personally supervised the Nikhil's new look. Nikhil apparently, was asked to cut his long tresses for a much shorter hairdo.

Beginning the year with a special appearance in a medium-budget "My Name Is Anthony Gonsalves", she was then seen as uber stylish superstar in "Love Story 2050". Touted as India's first film set in the future, Priyanka looked the part as a red-head. The film, marking the launch of Harman ...
