Sex & Nudity

  • Frontal and back nudity of women were briefly shown. One male genital. Sex shown in bed and both male and woman were naked but the side of her breasts and her back were only shown.
  • A man's bare buttocks is seen for a non-sexual seven seconds.
  • A man is shown waking up in a room naked. It is implied that an orgy took place the night before, but is not shown but referenced once. Some brief background rear nudity is shown in this scene and Deweys butt and penis is briefly shown.
  • Dewey is seen fully nude in a non sexual shot.
  • Brief sex is shown onscreen but there is non sexual male nudity

Violence & Gore

  • A young boy accidentally cuts his brother in half with a machete. This is played for laughs and not that graphic.
  • A man gets high on an unknown substance and goes on a rampage, flipping cars, running from cops, etc. Again, played for laughs.
  • A running gag is that whenever Dewey gets upset, he violently rips a sink out of the wall (parodying when angry characters randomly destroy things in films).
  • A man reveals to his son that he has been planning to kill him his whole life, and then proceeds to challenge his son to fight with machetes. He fights with his son but then accidentally cuts himself in half. Not that graphic and played for laughs.
  • In a montage, we see a man hold a switchblade up to another man's throat. In the same montage, a man uses another man as a human shield, who then gets blown to bits by unknown assailants. The man then emerges from behind his human shield and fires a revolver at them. In the same montage, a father holds a revolver on his son. Comical and played for laughs
  • Two men have a heart attack at the end.

Profanity

  • 20 uses of fuck in the theatrical cut, and 26 uses of fuck in the extended cut; 2 uses of cunt in the same scene, and the scene is in both versions.
  • Strong language, including many uses of the f-bomb " A lot of sexual dialogue, and milder uses profanity "asshole", "shit

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • A lot of drug and alcohol use and abuse throughout.
  • Characters smoke tobacco products and drink alcohol casually throughout.
  • A man stumbles upon a group of people smoking marijuana. He reluctantly joins them. Brief marijuana use shown.
  • A man walks into a bathroom where his friend is doing cocaine. He again reluctantly joins him.
  • Later on, the same man walks into a different bathroom and finds his friend doing pills. They are described as "uppers and downers".
  • A man tries to convince his wife to let him join a group of men who are doing acid. He describes being addicted to virtually every drug besides LSD.
  • A group of men do drugs and then hallucinate via an animated sequence. Very comical and hilarious
  • A man gets high and goes on a rampage.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The scene in which Dewey cuts his brother in half may be a little intense to some, but it's highly comedic.
  • The movie can be tense at times but it's very comical
  • Lots of relationship stress and tension from characters addicted to drugs.
