everyone getting worked up over nothing

Warning: Spoilers
to be honest, i don't understand why everyone is getting so uptight about this.

Ryan Cooley had been planning to go to college, and knew way before the season ever began filming that they were going to kill JT off.

and i think the writers of the show know exactly what they are doing, if they didn't, i think they would be out of a job.

now, in retrospect, the episode probably did not need to feature a boiling feud between Mia Jones and Liberty Van Sant, but it helped lift up the story line for future episodes.

and if you really sit back and think, if YOUR best friend died, you would be in shock and not know what to do OR how to act. you would probably put yourself in regretful situations out of pure in ability to think rationally. so cut them a break with the whole "Toby wasn't sad" thing. i'm thinking it's going to hit Toby in a later episode.

you guys HAVE to give the show a chance to catch up with itself.

well, i think this was quite a good episode. really depressing, but good.

of course Toby was sad. just because he wasn't bawling his eyes out doesn't mean he wasn't sad. how many guys do you know who would do that? and he was only interested in Liberty because he was upset and wasn't thinking clearly.

Paige said in a Degrassi mini that she was away at school (which is a long way away from Degrassi) and that is why she missed the funeral. the mini is viewable by going to the-n.com and the link should be in the bottom left corner of the box in the middle of the screen.

and obviously, JT is not the only character, and hence the episode couldn't have been just the memorial video. we had to see the other kids reactions. it just makes for a good story

there was nothing wrong with this episode, stop being such judgemental. the show is about the lives of all the kids, not just JT, so when he died they followed the troubles that everyone else was going through. the show is not just about JT, so of course the mourning scene was not that long, and just for your information it was about the last 3 minutes of the show, not 30 seconds. so maybe you should try watching the episode again. for you convenience on the-n.com.

again i say there was nothing wrong with that episode, they were following the lives of everyone else and how they were handling it...so get a clue

How can the episode after someone so dear died be so BAD?! Please someone agree with me. I was in much anticipation because 'Back in Black' was an excellent aftermath episode in season 4, but after watching this episode I was so upset. Before I explain why I didn't like this episode, I will say my thoughts on the season. So far, this is season is terrible. The Lakehurst feud was unnecessary and Miriam McDonald's acting is going down the tubes. The only two people I liked on the show were Cassie Steele and Ryan Cooley. Season 5 was amazing because finally J.T. Yorke wasn't just a joke. He was a serious character. He added a lot to Degrassi. Now, watching "The Bitterest Pill" was heart breaking because barely anything had to do with the memory of J.T. There was actually a feud between Liberty and Mia...not NECESSARY. You saw possibly 30 seconds of the memorial video made in honor of J.T. On top of that, there was another storyline with Ellie. I'm sorry, what? Paige wasn't even at the funeral, which is mind boggling because first of all, they were a lot closer than say him and anyone else in the Class of '06. Also, it's mind boggling because I saw her on the "Degrassi: On The Set" episode filmed on Ryan Cooley's last day, and there she was, in her shining glory. So, honestly I don't really understand this episode, it had nothing to do with remembering J.T. J.T. finally became a character that wasn't just jokes in the last two seasons and all the episode focused on was that no one told Liberty that J.T. was still in love with her.

The episode was missing something.

Warning: Spoilers
There was something wrong I mean Summer showed more sadness over Marissa dying than Toby did over J.T. I mean J.T. and Toby grew up as best friends and he did not seem sad at all. He was worried about Liberty and that was nice but he did not show much sadness at all. I thought J.T. and Toby were very close growing up so I just thought that he should have been more sad. They did not show what the other students thought. I am sure he had more friend than Toby and Liberty. It seemed like they were in a hurry to move on that they did not really give a good good-by. I think that they could have added more of the students feelings like Page. There was almost a bond with them at one point and you did not get to see how she felt. The episode was just centered on Mia, Toby, and Liberty. Toby was not even sad his best friend was gone. He was more into wanting to date Liberty. What a friend!
