I actually did enjoy this episode quite a bit. It wasn't top notch or anything, but I like the fact that Shawn and Gus become heroes in a comic book after this episode. Plus the convention was pretty fun. And I will admit the plot with the son and everything did keep me intrigued. The main issue I have with the episode is that it wasn't as memorable as other episodes in the series. But there is nothing wrong with that, when you have 120 episodes. But this was a massive bounce back from the previous episode which didn't relaly win me over too much. But this does set up the second half of the first season in a pretty good direction so there is that.

But definitely a season 1 episode. This is a good indication of what the show would become...but hasn't necessarily nailed its formula yet.
George Takei is a nice guest spot early on.
Yeah...you can go ahead and skip past all the parts with Kristen Nelson and Lassiter. I didn't realize that I did that so early on. Lassiter is fine...but Nelson is a bad actress...and her character is awful. No need to watch any scenes with her in it. She is the worst part of this show.
